Better Than I Imagined: If Disney Made ‘Game of Thrones’…

A lot of people were up in arms when news broke that Disney had acquired LucasFilm and was planning to make another Star Wars movie. I guess the decision made sense since the series was made to be relatively child-friendly. But can you imagine what would happen if HBO gave the reigns of Game of Thrones to Disney?

Some people did more than just imagine, and the result is this video–and it’s surprisingly good. But maybe that’s because I grew up with Disney and princesses always have a soft spot in my heart. Watch the clip and judge for yourself.

Cable Companies Get the Honest Trailer Treatment–And It Ain’t Pretty

The deceit begins almost right after you sign the contract and make your first payment to your cable company. “When will the technician come to set things up?”, you might ask. “Oh, they’ll probably drop by your house tomorrow,” the cable rep might respond.

Three days later and the cable guy is still a no-show. You’ll be left waiting at the door with no cable, no Internet, and no more patience. Thus begins the hate-hate relationship that you’ll have with your current cable company and with the one after that, because contrary to how things might appear–all cable companies are the same.

Check out the hilarious parody above that speaks the absolute truth about cable companies.

So Stupid But So Funny: Batman Replaces Characters in Classic Movie Scenes

Everybody knows Batman. I mean, who wouldn’t recognize him in his black mask with the furrowed brows and pointy ears? When Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy ended last year, fans cried buckets and wished there were more movies to come featuring the caped crusader. And come they will, since a reboot is already in the works.

Until that time comes, though, you’ll have to settle with the countless spoofs and parodies people are making based on the Dark Knight. This particular one we’ve got here shows Batman replacing a host of other characters in some of the most popular classic movies of all time, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Home Alone.

Prom Night is Coming: If ‘Game of Thrones’ Were Set in a High School

Game of Thrones is currently one of the hottest shows on television. Or should I say coldest? George R. R. Martin’s compelling tale is transformed into impressive imagery interspersed with extreme violence in the series which hooks viewers almost instantly after they catch an episode or two.

Hoping to catch your attention and interest, though, is this creative parody that changes the setting of the hit franchise into a typical high school. Imagine GOT mixed with teen angst and prom night, and you’ve got School of Thrones in a nutshell. Check it out!

This Is How ‘The Hobbit’ Should Have Ended

The thing about trilogies is that they’re often made to leave you hanging, at least in the case of the first two movies. One of the most excruciating trilogies to wait for a conclusion to was The Lord of the Rings, and it looks like Peter Jackson is putting us all through that same agony once more with The Hobbit. We already know how it’s going to end, since it’s the prequel and all, but seeing the events play out on the big screen is a different experience altogether.

Without going into the debate on whether The Hobbit should or shouldn’t have been made into a trilogy, we present to you this hilarious video of How the Hobbit Should Have Ended. I won’t spoil anything, but all I’m saying is that if this had happened, then there would be no need for LOTR either. Enjoy!

PETA vs. Pokemon: Gee, I Wonder Who’ll End Up Black and Blue

PETA vs Pokemon

I have nothing against PETA. In fact, I support them for taking such a strong and passionate stand against animal abuse. I know a lot of people disapprove of their shock-value tactics, but hey, they’re free to do whatever they feel works for them. But I think the line has to be drawn somewhere, and I think it has to be drawn here with their new campaign against Pokemon.

Apparently, PETA thinks the Pokemon are being held against their will in Unova and they insist that the time these fictional creatures stay locked in their pokebolls is ‘akin to how elephants are chained up in train carts.’ I don’t approve of circuses keeping animals in captivity just to make them perform, but somehow this Pokemon campaign makes me think that PETA is running out of ways to get their message across the right and sensible way. They’ve released a parody game called ‘Pokemon Black and Blue’ to spearhead their campaign, which you can check out and play after the break.

Is Apple’s iPhone 5 Going to Look Like a DSLR? Adam Sacks Seems to Think So

iPhone 5 Parody

You don’t have to be an Apple fanboy (or fangirl) to know that the next iPhone is coming–and it’s coming soon. While the world waits with bated breaths, Apple is taking their own sweet time before making the big reveal.

So while they do that, New York-based comedian Adam Sacks decided to take matters into his own hands and “leaked” his own version of an “official” iPhone 5 promo video. And while it’s all sorts of ridiculous, it’s hilarious and extremely amusing at the same time.

Self-proclaimed and true-blue foodies like to use their iPhones to take photos of their food. That’s the point Sacks latched on to and decided to expound in the video. The iPhone 5 he boasts of is a basically a DLSR in the guise of a phone, stamped with the Apple logo, and that was it.

Check out the video after the jump for a few laughs.
