Nintendo to Debut 3DS XL That Looks Like a NES Controller

A Nintendo 3DS XL that sports the classic look of the NES controller? Yes, please! This isn’t the first time Nintendo has released special edition designs for their 3DS portable gaming consoles, but it’s the first to feature a design of another console instead of a classic character, like Mario or Zelda. The box it comes in brings another bout of nostalgia since it was designed to look like the NES console.

The limited edition 3DS XL will be released with two other designs: the Super Smash Bros 3D XLs (which will come in red and blue) and the Persona Q.

These Are Just About The Slickest NES Shoes We’ve Seen

Talent and hard work gets you anything, right? We’re not so sure that’s a universal axiom, but it should be. And every so often, it is, as is the case with the custom painted shoes from Kohl’s Customs. We’re not sure how much time Michael Kohl, an art teacher from Toronto, spent on these awesome NES kicks, but he did feel it sufficient to charge (and get) $450 for them. They’re clearly one of a kind, but Michael seems willing to work for hire, so head on over to his site and place an order if you so fancy. Ultimate US Super Nintendo Collection is Currently Up for Sale on eBay

Fancy owning every single game that was ever made for the SNES? At least, the ones that were officially released in the US, Canada, and Mexico anyway. You do? Well, now’s your chance to get all 721 games because byuu from Reddit is selling the neat collection that he’s managed to collect and complete over the course of three years.

The asking price is $24,999, and while it might seem like a steep amount, it really isn’t, considering the fact that the top 25 games or so are worth half of his asking price. Proceeds from the sales will go to byuu’s next project: collecting every game that was released for the European and Japanese market.
