Telekinesis Prank Is A Couple Notches Better Than Anything We’ve Seen So Far

Ok, first of all, this is an engineered viral video ad for the movie Carrie. But that doesn’t matter, because we’re of the belief that if an ad is actually entertaining, we’re all for watching it. And this particular commercial is awesome. It’s an elaborate prank on some unsuspecting coffee shop customers involving a girl with “telekinetic powers”. It’s so well made that you’d actually have a hard time believing it’s a prank. It involves tables on RC wheels, and a dude hanging from a wall.

It’s a fun watch. 10 million views in two days can’t all be wrong, right?

Minions… Minions Everywhere

minions-top

Despicable Me 2 was alright. Laughs were had occasionally, but if it hadn’t been for the minions, it would have been a miss. Minions are awesome. So here you go, have at it: minions as characters from a truckload of other media franchises. Hit the jump to see all of them.

LEGO Sharknado… Yeah, This Is LEGO Sharknado

lego_sharknado_1

You heard about Sharknado, right? The SyFy channel’s too-terrible-to-be-real movie? The one that reminded you for a brief minute that Tara Reid was still alive and being hired to star in front of a camera? The one that featured tornadoes… of sharks!

LEGO Sharknado? Yeah… enough said!

Life-Sized Iron Man Figure Will Set You Back $8,500

IronMan

How tall is Tony Stark in his Iron Man suit? No idea, but I do know how tall a life-sized figure of his suit is: over 7 feet. Okay, so that’s more of an approximation, but still. This reproduction of the Iron Man Mark 42 suit that you’ll see on Iron Man 3 should stand tall and proud wherever you decide to put it and it should, because it’ll cost you $8,500.

The massive life-size Iron Man figure by Sideshow Collectibles is painted with high-gloss automotive paint to give it that distinctive shine. That’s not the only thing that’ll shine, because the figure has LED light-up eyes installed as well. It will also come complete with arc reactor palms and a display base.

You have to be more than sure if you want to get one, because you’ll have to pay a non-refundable deposit of $1,700 upfront when ordering.

So Stupid But So Funny: Batman Replaces Characters in Classic Movie Scenes

Everybody knows Batman. I mean, who wouldn’t recognize him in his black mask with the furrowed brows and pointy ears? When Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy ended last year, fans cried buckets and wished there were more movies to come featuring the caped crusader. And come they will, since a reboot is already in the works.

Until that time comes, though, you’ll have to settle with the countless spoofs and parodies people are making based on the Dark Knight. This particular one we’ve got here shows Batman replacing a host of other characters in some of the most popular classic movies of all time, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Home Alone.

Heavy Metal Hero: Fan-Made Iron Man Gauntlet Can Shoot Real Lasers

Have you ever felt so passionate about something that you just wanted to break out the tools and make something to that thing you’re so passionate about? Well, I never did, since I’m not really good with the DIY stuff, but Patrick Priebe is–and he’s showing the rest of the world just how awesome he is at it by making this Iron Man gauntlet.

The gauntlet isn’t all for show. It can actually shoot high-powered lasers that have the capacity to burn stuff (ouch!) and pop balloons. He didn’t do any tutorials or post any in-the-making images so you won’t be able to replicate this at home, unless you do so with your own resourcefulness and ingenuity.

Hit the break for a video of the gauntlet in action.

Because This Is The Bookcase You Deserve, But Not The One You Need Right Now

You need a practical bookcase, one that can efficiently serve as storage for the mountains of paperbacks that you refuse to throw once you’ve read them. You need to be able to order them alphabetically, for easy retrieval. You need to look at them in neat stacks. After all, you always get your ducks in a row. But you’re looking at this case, and you know you really want it. We want it too, even if the book mosaic within is making us anxious; unlike Lt. James Gordon’s easy decision to cast Batman as a villain, we’re a little torn.

The $283 price tag, however, and the relative emptiness of the bank account is making the point somewhat moot. Maybe not for you though, so hit the link at the bottom to order yours, if you’re so inclined. They’re made to order, and measure 22 x 32 inch / 56 x 82 cm.

Remember the Bubble Wrap Space Suit from ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’ Well, It’s Here!

Bubble Wrap Suit

I can’t believe the amount of stupidity moviemakers managed to cram into Dude, Where’s My Car? Among a host of gags is the part with Zoltan and his gang of bubble wrap-suit wearing followers. If you’ve ever wanted to own one of these suits but were too lazy to make one yourself, then now’s your chance to get it for cheap.

Similar bubble wrap suits are priced at about $60, while you can get this one for a measly $14.99. Just be careful when you put it on though, because you don’t all the bubbles to pop before you get a chance to show it off to fellow geeks and movie aficionados.

Hit the break for a look at the full suit.

A Bedroom Like Bilbo’s, Straight From His Little House in the Shire

Bilbo's Bedroom

We’ve got two more weeks before Bilbo Baggins’ epic adventure hits the big screen. Peter Jackson and the rest of his crew are currently working feverishly on post-production for The Hobbit, and it’s set to be completed just two days before the big opening. Talk about a close call.

I’m not going a grand adventure like Bilbo is, although I am making a huge move to a new place next year. So you can just imagine the geek in me scream out (while my boring, serious external stuff maintained a calm demeanor) when I spotted this cozy-looking get-up that looks like it came straight from the set of The Hobbit!
