Creepy But Awesome: Raiders Of The Lost Ark Melting Nazi Face Candle

Raiders Of The Lost Ark Melting Nazi Face Candle

The Melting Toht candle looks like your regular old candle-in-the-shape-of-a-man-with-his-mouth-open candle at first glance. But light it up and you’ll see that it will slowly transform into Gestapo agent Toht from Raiders of the Lost Arc from that unforgettable scene towards the end of the movie.

Even if you haven’t seen the flick, the candle’s still awesome to watch as it burns. Hit the break for a video of that scene we’re talking about (it’s not for the faint-hearted!)

Godzilla Hoodies is the King of All Hoodies

Godzilla Hoodie

The Godzilla remake dominated theaters upon its release, just as Godzilla dominates just about every otherworldly creature it faces off against. If you’re still hungover the franchise on a monstrous level, then you’ll want to get the Godzilla hoodie, which looks like a beast of a hoodie with its spikes and ferocious mask.

Granted, it makes you look like a bit of a creeper, but it is a Godzilla-inspired hoodie, after all. It’s available for pre-order from The Big Bad Toy Store for $43.

Mondo 237 Clothing

Remember the honeycomb carpet pattern outside Room 237 in The Shining? If you were busy covering your eyes or screaming your head off, then you probably didn’t notice the distinct pattern on the carpet that has now spawned an entire clothing line called Mondo 237, which includes knit sweaters, cardigans, scarves, scarf, ski masks, a door mat, and an area rug.

The pattern on the fabric used was designed by artist Sal Giliberto.Continue Reading

RunPee App Lets You Know When to Run and Pee During a Movie

RunPee App

Your doctor might’ve advised against holding your pee in, but that’s probably something you’d rather do than rush off to the bathroom in the middle of a particularly good movie. So here’s something that can spare you from unnecessary grief and save your bladder in the process: the RunPee app.

It’s basically a database that lets you know which parts of the movie you can miss without actually missing substantial action.

The RunPee tagline says it all: Because movie theaters don’t have pause buttons. The RunPee app will give you a list of 1-to-4 moments in each movie when you can run and pee. We also let you know if there is anything during or after the end credits that you should stick around for.

You might stumble across some spoilers along the way, so tap carefully. The app is available for iPhoneAndroid and Windows phones for $0.99.

Time to Bust Some Ghosts: Ghostbusters Neutrino Wand

Ghostbusters Neutrino

When there’s something strange in the neighborhood, the only people you should call are the Ghostbusters! They were a huge hit in the eighties and the original team are still very much revered by kids and the young-at-heart who grew up following the franchise over the years. The third movie is still in limbo, although we’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed that they work something out.

But why not nab ghouls and catch ghosts Ghostbuster-style with this Neutrino Wand while you wait? It’s inspired by the one Ray, Winston, Egon, and Dr. Peter Venkman used to capture Slimer, Gozer, and a host of other ghosts in the movies. It’s made with great attention to detail, from the blasting button and proton stream switch to the adjuster knob and the sound effects that emanate from the wand upon firing.

The Neutrino Wand prop replica is available for $280.

TMNT Trailer Gives Rise to the Michaelangelo Meme

TMNT Meme

Michael Bay is at the helm of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie reboot and he’s caused a lot of buzz with the direction that he’s chosen to go with the franchise. Some die-hard fans were ticked off at Bay’s need to tweak the turtles’ origins, but they didn’t have difficulty finding humor in their appearance. Specifically, that of Michaelangelo.

The first trailer for TNMT was released recently and what stood out the most to some was Michaelangelo’s odd appearance. Mainly, the fact that he looks like a cross between Shrek and Lizard from the Amazing Spider-Man. This gave rise to a new meme that has since taken off: the Michaelangelo. Hit the break to check out more!

Mini Movie Campy Packs a Theater Into a Tiny Camper

Dethleffs Mini Theater Camper

This camper looks just like a typical camper, except for the fact that it’s got an actual theater crammed into it. I kid you not–it actually has a big screen inside (well, the biggest screen that could be fit into it), along with plush chairs that’ll make you feel like you’re watching a movie in an actual theater.

Created by German camper manufacturer Dethleffs, this Mini Movie Campy was showcased at the recent Dusseldorf Caravan Salon. As you can see, they made the most out of the 12.2-foot-long (3.72-m) camper, equipping it with a huge 3D television, a surround sound system, and seven theater-style seats.Continue Reading

This Is How ‘The Hobbit’ Should Have Ended

The thing about trilogies is that they’re often made to leave you hanging, at least in the case of the first two movies. One of the most excruciating trilogies to wait for a conclusion to was The Lord of the Rings, and it looks like Peter Jackson is putting us all through that same agony once more with The Hobbit. We already know how it’s going to end, since it’s the prequel and all, but seeing the events play out on the big screen is a different experience altogether.

Without going into the debate on whether The Hobbit should or shouldn’t have been made into a trilogy, we present to you this hilarious video of How the Hobbit Should Have Ended. I won’t spoil anything, but all I’m saying is that if this had happened, then there would be no need for LOTR either. Enjoy!
