Accio Dice! Harry Potter Wizard’s Monopoly

Harry Potter Monopoly

It’s taking Parker Brothers long enough to make a Harry Potter-themed edition of Monopoly, so CustomLumos decided to take matters into their own hands. The result? This awesome, one-of-a-kind Monopoly board came that both wizards and muggles can enjoy. The rules remain the same, although the entire game plays out with a touch of magic and mystique.

It starts with the packaging: instead of the usual box, the game comes in a chest instead. From the paper money and actual board itself to the cards and tokens, every little element featured in this custom-made board game has been transformed with a touch of Potter.

Limited Edition 3D Monopoly: Same Classic Game With a Three-Dimensional Twist

3D Monopoly

Monopoly has been around for decades and it’s one of the most played and well-loved games for family game nights. When you played it as a kid, I bet you didn’t really consider the more serious implications of what the game stood for. Could this game have shaped the minds and motivations of countless tycoons throughout the world? We’ll never know.

But the game itself is all about fun and absolute control of the properties on the board, and that much stays the same in the new limited edition version of the game: Monopoly 3D. Board Walk is still one of the most coveted properties, and people will still be on a race to acquire all the utilities and rail roads. What’s obviously different in this edition are the game board and tokens, as they have been done up in three striking dimensions.

Only 2,000 pieces of Monopoly 3D edition have been made, with each set being signed and numbered by artist Charles Fazzino, who designed the elements on the board that depict NYC. This includes six pewter game pieces, play money, title deeds, chance and community chest cards, wood houses, hotels, and the banker’s tray aside from the 3D artwork with embedded crystals and foil accents on the board. It’s an impressive set that carries an even more impressive price tag: $500.

Best Geeky Birthday Present Ever: Fallout Monopoly

Fallout Monopoly

Reddit user XsimonbelmontX aka Brandon wanted to get something nice for his wife since her birthday was coming up. Instead of getting a generic present like perfume or something crappy like a mug, he went above and beyond by making her a customized and one-of-a-kind Fallout version of the board game Monopoly.

Brandon basically painted over a regular Monopoly board and used his imagination and artistic prowess to add various scenes and locations Fallout, like Tenpenny Tower (it’s on the Boardwalk spot on the board, if you’re wondering.) He replaced the paper money in the set with bottle caps that ranged in value from $1 Nuka-Cola Quartz to a $500 Sunset Sarsaparilla Star piece.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a custom set of game pieces, so Brandon fashioned some from melted action figures and other random stuff like a miniature set of Coca-Cola bottles. You can check out more photos of Brandon’s masterpiece after the break!

Fancy a Round or Two of Klingon Monopoly? jAH!

Klingon Monopoly

nuqneH pa’! (That’s Klingon for ‘Hello there!’) Monopoly has been around for so long that it’s starting to get monotonous. But it’s so classic that it wouldn’t make sense for the Parker Brothers to discontinue it, either, so what they did was reinvent it to make it cool and current. The latest one of these is Klingon Monopoly.

If you’re familiar with the Star Trek universe, then you’ll know that Klingons are actually a fictional race featured on the series who happen to have their own language. Star Trek has amassed a huge cult following over the last few decades, so it’s not really a huge surprise to see Monopoly finally go Klingon. This collector’s edition combines English and Klingon and features familiar Star Trek elements on the board. Instead of the usual game pieces, you’ll get Combat cards, Honor Cards, Outposts, Capitals, and a pack full of Klingon forces to get your game on.
