Custom Super Mario Drum Set is Awesome

Super Mario Drum Set

This Super Mario Brothers-themed drum set was made by Josh Fry and it’s all kinds of awesome. It features everyone’s favorite characters from the Mario franchise, including Mario himself, Luigi, the Princess, and even the Toad. I also see the Fire Flower power up and several question mark blocks that are just ripe for the hitting.

Not Just For Gaming: Smoking Out of a GameCube and the E-Cig Connection

VapeCube

What have you done with your GameCube aside from play games on it? Most people would say that’s all they did, but the dudes from the Nebula Vaping Lounge who were behind this awesome modded GameCube e-hookah can say that they at least smoked a few on theirs. E-hookahs and e-cigarettes are closely related, with the latter being such a hot topic these days.

In fact, my friends and I debated on the merits of e-cigs over our weekly Saturday brunch and things got heated pretty quickly (okay, enough with the puns!)

Piepal

Pizza is the ultimate comfort food. Failed your finals? Get pizza. Got dumped? Get two pizzas. Got yelled at by your boss? Throw a pizza in his face. Nah, we’re just kidding, because that’s just a waste of good pie.

If you crave for pizza frequently, then here’s a bit of good news for you: ordering it just got easier with PiePal. It’s a 3D-printed button that you can hit whenever you feel like getting a pie. All you have to do is turn the dial to indicate how many pies you want delivered and push to order. PiePal is powered by Arduino and Raspberry Pi. There’s currently a call for beta testers, so this would be the perfect gig for you if you love pizza and tech.

Meet Cooper, the Little Ghostbuster with the Ecto-1 Push Car

Cooper Ghostbusters Costume

Remember Cooper, the adorable kid who shot to fame after word of how his amazing parents built him a DeLorean for Halloween spread like wildfire on the Internet? Well, he’s back again with another awesome costume and push car mod care of his parents, Jeremy and Cory Smith.

Whereas they just went with an idea for last year’s DeLorean, they put in a lot more thought on this year’s costume as they held a brainstorming session before working on it, which saw Cooper’s trusty push car transformed into the Ecto-1. It’s hard to believe they managed to pull everything off by using materials like cardboard boxes, take-out salsa cups, and soda bottles for the car.

Best Geeky Birthday Present Ever: Fallout Monopoly

Fallout Monopoly

Reddit user XsimonbelmontX aka Brandon wanted to get something nice for his wife since her birthday was coming up. Instead of getting a generic present like perfume or something crappy like a mug, he went above and beyond by making her a customized and one-of-a-kind Fallout version of the board game Monopoly.

Brandon basically painted over a regular Monopoly board and used his imagination and artistic prowess to add various scenes and locations Fallout, like Tenpenny Tower (it’s on the Boardwalk spot on the board, if you’re wondering.) He replaced the paper money in the set with bottle caps that ranged in value from $1 Nuka-Cola Quartz to a $500 Sunset Sarsaparilla Star piece.

Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a custom set of game pieces, so Brandon fashioned some from melted action figures and other random stuff like a miniature set of Coca-Cola bottles. You can check out more photos of Brandon’s masterpiece after the break!

Awesome Grandpa Transforms Old Daewoo Into a Batmobile for His Grandson

Daewoo Batmobile

We’ve seen our fair share of awesome moms and dads who go the extra mile to make their kids happy. There’s Cory, who modded her kid’s push car and turned into a DeLorean, and geek dad Mike, who modded Legend of Zelda so that his daughter could play as a heroine instead of Link.

Then there’s awesome grandpa Alan Bennet who modded an old Daewoo Matiz and transformed it into an original-series Batmobile with an accompanying red Bat phone.

You’ll Never Be Thirsty Again: TARDIS Soda Machine

TARDIS Soda Machine

You’ll never be thirsty or run out of drinks ever again, not when you’ve got the TARDIS Soda Machine–and an efficient crew who’s on top of the inventory, that is. Doctor Who didn’t turn TARDIS into a soda dispensing machine to give mankind a never-ending supply of sugary and fizzy drinks. Rather, he merely inspired a bunch of guys from Epic Comics to turn their soda machine into the time and space-traveling box that has gotten the Doctor out of a lot of tough scraps.

You can see some photos of the build after the break.

Steampunk Iron Man Reactor Pocket Watch: Can’t Tell the Time, But It Keeps On Ticking

Steampunk Iron Man Reactor Watch

What can you do with a pocket watch, except bring it out when you want to know what time it is? Why, take its insides out and create one of the awesomest steampunked versions of Iron Man’s arc reactor! That’s what Adi Simion did and it looks out he succeeded in creating a piece that Tony Stark himself would be proud to own.

You won’t be able to read the time off of the pocket watch anymore, since its face has been taken out to make room for Iron Man’s reactor, but who needs a watch when you can have Iron Man’s source of power, right in your very own pocket?
