That picture above is the last one I took before I left sunny California, back to not-so-sunny Canada. I just spent the day test driving the new Cobalt SS on an open track, and had I taken a picture of me instead of the hotel, you’d have no doubt noticed a stupid grin on my face. Yeah, it was fun. But my full impressions are embargoed until later today… so you’ll get them sometime tomorrow.

Pretty much the only piece of technology here is the snowmobile I was riding, and the cellphone I took this picture with. And you know what? I bitch about the weather here on a daily basis, I’m like that, but at times like these… I can’t find a single thing to complain about.

Anyway. Bombardier 600cc GTX this was. Awesome ride. Didn’t end up in the ditch once. Any of you have other favorites for riding in the snow?

So hey, I was thinking. I bought this here car stereo a couple weeks back, the JVC KD-NX5000. It’s pretty nice. So, below is my two minutes’ worth of impressions on it.

To everyone reading this in sunny california, or anywhere else that’s warm, count your blessings. This is what we got up here in not-so-sunny canada. But ill get a taste of the sun soon, as im planning to spend two days in Bakersfield, CA, driving the new Cobalt SS turbo, courtesy of GM. Anyone from around there? Back at my place now. Had a massive hard drive failure on the desktop the other day. Perfect excuse to order a new barebones kit, right? Sure, the rest is probably fine… but what fun is being sensible? So, stuff came in the mail today, and here’s the video card: XFX GeForce 8600 GT. I know it’s not the newest, or the best. Just was wondering if any of you guys are using this, and if you have any comments about your personal experience with it.

Well this is fun. Just want to let y’all know I’ll be doing a series of posts from the road, as Microsoft is promoting the idea of creating content while mobile. The pic you see above? That’s the little corner of a coffee table on which I sometimes work, when I’m at a friends’ place. (Yes, I do work, even though you don’t see my articles much these days). It’s taken by my trusty cellphone. And yup, that’s my “office” on that map right there.

I’ll try to keep these short, interesting and hopefully on topic.
