Diablo Night Light Shines Bright to You a Fright

Diablo Night Light

Most people get a night light so they can see better in the dark without blinding themselves with sudden brightness in the middle of the night. They do not get one to scare the crap out of themselves. However, that’s what this Diablo night light will most likely do to them if they come face-to-face with it while they’re on their way to the toilet.

Even fans will get the occasional scare when they wake up and forget that they chose the uber-cool but scary night light, especially in their sleepy state.

Think you can take it? The Diablo night light is available online for about $20.

No More Night Terrors: Captain America Shield Nightlight

Captain America Shield Nightlight

What Captain America’s shield is made of exactly, few people know. Okay, so most sources say it’s Vibranium, but we all know that doesn’t exist in our world. Regardless, it’s Captain America’s only weapon; nobody uses a shield for both defense and offense quite like Steve does, don’t you think?

Now his iconic shield–or at least a replica of it–can be your weapon against night terrors and everything that goes bump in the night, too. This nightlight with its accompanying sticker makes it look like Captain America threw his shield at your wall, partially embedding it in the process.

The Captain America Shield nightlight is available online for $45.

The Hulk Fist Nightlight is Incredible

Hulk Night Light

Isn’t this the awesomest night light ever? Hulk smash your fears of the dark and the boogie man and everything in between with the Hulk nightlight. It’s in the shape of Hulk’s fist, which, as you can expect, is quite massive, measuring 5 by 5 by 6.5 inches. It comes with a sticker that gives the illusion of a cracked wall, which you’re supposed to stick on the surface before mounting the it.

The Hulk fist nightlight is battery-powered and emits a soft, almost eerie green glow so you can avoid bumping into stuff and falling over when you’re heading to the bathroom or down the stairs for a midnight snack or whatever. It’s available online for $49.

Prism Nightlight: Teetering From Light to Darkness and Back Again

Prism Nightlight

The Prism nightlight isn’t exactly a prism, although it’s shaped like one. I think it should be renamed as the see-saw nightlight because of how it works. There are no switches or anything, and no, the light isn’t equipped with sensors so that it automatically turns on or off. The switch is actually the entire lamp itself.

Just pivot it to one side to turn it on and back to the other to turn it off–like a see-saw.

So This Is a Knight Light

Knight Light

If you want to have a night light that only a handful will ever have, then you might want to make your own. That’s what Mr. Hyde did when he came up with the Knight Light, which is basically a knight’s helm creatively propped up by an ornate-looking stand. You’ll need the helm, some wires, metal tubing for the support, and a crankshaft from a car (but this one’s optional.)

Instructions on how to make the Knight Light are posted on Instructables.

Gorillatorch Shines Light Exactly Where You Need It

Gorillatorch

By Chris Scott Barr

Flashlights are handy things to have, but they never seem to sit exactly how you need them to. There have been different solutions to this problem over the years, the latest being the Gorrilatorch. Looking at it, you’ll easily recognize it as the brother of the Gorillapod.

The Gorillatorch is exactly what you would expect from Joby. You’ve got a flashlight attached to one of their famous Gorillapods, which makes it easy to point the light exactly where you need it. The light uses LEDs to achieve a maximum brightness of 65 lumens, though it can be lowered if you don’t need anything quite that bright. Two AA batteries are all that’s needed to light up any workspace. For $30, this would be useful in any house, garage or workshop.

USB Film Kit Lets You Act Like A Star

By Jonathan Kimak

Webcams, especially the cheaper ones, usually have problems in low light areas. The Hollywood Web Gear however, gives you both a webcam and USB powered light to make you shine. To add a further sense of self importance the camera and light are modeled after the vintage lighting used in old movies.

The camera supports both Windows and Mac operating systems. There is no listed resolution for the camera and coupled with the fact that the camera is only $18 and the light is $9 it means that while you will be able to use the camera in low light situations, your friends may just see you as a well lit blur.
