‘Give It 100′ Encourages People to Learn a New Skill While Recording Their Progress

Give it 100

The thing about routines is that they can be boring. Since life is basically composed of a series of routines, then you might want to mix things up every once in a while so you don’t fall into a slump. The simplest way to do that is to get a hobby or learn something new. Eager to help you out on the latter is Give It 100, which is an interactive site that encourages people to practice something for a hundred days.

The premise is simple. You start off with choosing a skill or hobby that you want to learn or take up, like dancing or painting. You can sign up for lessons or teach yourself by looking for tutorials online. Through the website, you’re then tasked to upload a ten-second video to show your progress at your current project.

Freezing Metal Swizzle Sticks Are Yet Another Way To Chill A Drink

stircicles-freezable-stainless-steel-swizzle-sticks-xl

The arsenal to cool down a premium drink without diluting it keeps getting bigger. There are whisky rocks, and frozen icicle tubes and now… frozen swizzle sticks. They’re called Stricicles, and are 6 inch long stainless steel shells containing gel. Put them in the freezer for 4 hours and they’ll be ready to lower your libation’s temperature as you stir it, while undoubtedly also freezing your fingers. We imagine that’s the price you pay for a cool, undiluted drink. That and $25 for a set of 4 of these.

‘Tab’ App is the Easiest Way to Split the Bill

Tab App

Reach for ‘Tab’ the next time you need to split the bill. Dining out with friends and acquaintances is loads of fun, but there’s that 15-minute lull at the end where everyone’s just poring over the receipt so they can pay their share of the bill.

The Tab app makes the entire process quicker, easier, and less of a hassle. When the bill arrives, just fire Tab up and take a picture of the receipt. Pass the phone around so people can claim which items they ordered. Taxes and tips are divided among everyone, so each person can see how much they have to cough up before they pass the phone off to the next person.

Tab can be downloaded from iTunes and Google Play.

Here’s What You So Obviously Need In Your Life: A Kickstand

mogo-portable-human-kickstand-xl

Standing is hard, yo. Why don’t you buy a portable kickstand, and never stand again? The Mogo is a lightweight, compact, and collapsible aluminum kickstand that can support weights of up to 200lbs. Collapsed, it measures 18″ in length, but extends all the way to 38″. The seat is made from reinforced fiberglass and the rubber base is reversible, and allows for hard or soft surfaces. Weighing in at only 2.1lbs. you can easily bring this with you to festivals, concerts, or even shopping at Walmart… Or whatever other potentially offensively stereotypical place you can think of that could be populated with people who can’t stand for a few minutes. It’s all yours, on pre-order, for $80.

Anti-Theft Backpack Could Keep Your Valuables Safe

anti-theft-backpack

If you ask around in your circle of friends, you’re pretty likely to find at least one person who’s had stuff stolen right out of their backpack, either while traveling or even just while taking public transport. Pickpockets are of course more common in some countries than in the States, but that doesn’t mean that buying the Anti-Theft Backpack is only a good idea if you’re planning on backpacking it through Europe. It features a main zipper that is pressed up against your back, making it harder for someone to sneakily open it without you noticing. And there are quick-access pockets covered with noisy velcro which become an audible alarm when unauthorized access is being sought. Finally, there’s a Zip Pouch located on the shoulder strap for quick phone access.

The backpack is currently sitting in the Upcoming portion of Quirky, a website where designers submit ideas and where only certain products end up being made by the company. Depending on support, the Defender (the current proposed name) may or may not see the light of day at a proposed price of $24. If this seems to be for you, head on over to the link below and show your support.

Both You And Your Kid Will Get A Kick Out Of The Longboard Stroller

longboard-stroller-1

Are you going to be the boring parent that shuttles his child around in an old fashioned stroller? Four wheels and two handle bars cutting it for you? Yeah, we didn’t think so. That’s why we’re digging the Longboard Stroller. It’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s still under development, so the features and construction isn’t finalized, but it’s pretty clear that once it’s completed (or if), it’ll be one badass mode of transportation/baby carrier. How legal it’ll be, how much it’ll cost and whether it’ll even ever see light of day are questions we’re not able to answer at the moment. Feel free to follow the link below to find out more about the project.

Wearable ParaShoot Camera Records Snippets of Your Everyday Life

ParaShoot

The ParaShoot isn’t the first camera of its kind that was ever made and I’m fairly certain it won’t be the last. It’s a tiny camera that you’re supposed to wear around you neck, where it will record random moments of your life from your perspective, day in and day out. The amulet camera works in conjunction with your smartphone, which can be used as a remote control and viewfinder, so you won’t have to use your smartphone’s shooter or digital camera anymore when you want to take a picture or record a clip of whatever is in front of you.

ParaShoot provides a hands-free recording experience for your convenience and ease of use. The device is slightly bigger than a memory card and is designed to sport customizable cover plates so it’ll look more like a fashion accessory or pendant than a mini camera.

Onnit Chimp Primal Bell Will Add A Little Flavor To Your Workouts

chimp-primal-bell-kettlebells

Crossfit is gaining popularity and with it, the use of kettlebells. These have been around for a while, by the way, but now that they’re popular again, why stop at buying a simple ball-shaped one, when you can get yourself the Chimp Primal Bell from Onnit? It weighs 36lbs. (1 pood, for those of you who speak Crossfit-ese) and is made from “chip resistant iron.” That just probably means it’s made from iron, which tends to be more malleable and not chip in general, rather than some form of special iron that doesn’t chip.

It’s $86 for a kettlebell with some personality.
