OakBottle Infuses Your Alcohols With Flavour

oakbottle_1

It’s well known that a lot of spirits and even wines are aged in oak bottles, in order to impart some flavours. There are even special wood sticks that you can put in your alcohol to flavour it. Well, the OakBottle uses a similar process, except instead of putting wood in your alcohol, you’re invited to put your alcohol in the OakBottle, which, obviously, is made of oak. After filling it with water for 24h in order to swell it up and seal any potential leaks, you simply place your wine or spirits inside and wait another 24h to 48h, and enjoy your now-infused libations. Each bottle is good for 50 uses, and they comes in various flavours like Maple, Vanilla, Coffee, etc. It’s $90 for one, and $120 for two.

Never Ties Shoelaces Again With Zubits Magnetic Shoe Closures

Zubits magnetic shoe closures

Why tie shoelaces when you don’t have to? You won’t have to worry about your shoelaces getting untied ever again with Zubits. It’s a magnetic shoe closure that works with your existing laces to make lacing up infinitely faster– which makes sense, since no actual tying is involved. All you have to do is thread the laces into Zubits, cut off the excess lace (how long or how short you’d like your laces to be depends on you), and snap it closed. It’s that simple.

When you’re ready to slip your shoes off, just push your foot forward to break the connection. The downside is that they might not hold up to rigorous activity or sports (note the keyword there: might), but you could always give it a go to test its limits yourself.

‘Moments’ App Shows You How Much Time You Spend on Your Phone

Moments App

How much time do you spend on your phone in a day? A few minutes? Half an hour? Probably more, especially if you use instant messaging or check for emails a lot during the day. Giving you the exact figure is Moments, an app which tracks how long you used your phone and where you were when you were using it. It uses the collected data to build a map to show you the most frequent location of use.

If you feel like your usage is excessive, then you can set a maximum daily limit for your phone usage using the app. When your time’s up, an alert pops up letting you know it’s time to put your phone down and start living (and interacting) in the real world. It’s available for iOS and can be downloaded from iTunes for $3.99.
