Kittyo Lets You Creep On Your Cat From The Comfort Of The Interwebs

kittyo-2

Do you feel heartbroken when you leave your home because your cat has to stay behind with no one to play with? Kittyo would like to come to your rescue, allowing you not only to see your feline friend from afar, but to play with him, record videos of him, and even dispense treats. Once hooked up to your WiFi, Kittyo can be controlled through a smartphone app. Some of its features include having the ability to make a chiming noise to attract kitty; being able to project a laser pointer that you move around, to entertain your pet; committing your cat’s shenanigans to video so you can bore your friends with a YouTube upload. There’s even a speaker so that you can delude yourself into thinking your kitty knows your voice and can recognize it.

Currently doing the Kickstarter rounds, it’s more than smashed its funding goal and should be seeing the production line soon. Delivery is slated for November of this year, in time for the Holidays. A $120 pledge will get you yours, while Kittyo is expected to cost $180 retail.

Enable The Crazy Cat Lady In Your Life With This Bouquet Of Kittens

bouquet-of-kittens-3

If you know a person who loves nothing but cats, you can either organize an intervention or go with the flow. Going with the flow of course involves enabling her (or his) addiction, and what better way to do so than with a bouquet of kittens? The above features 9 plushy kitties that attach to the “stem” through their velcro collars. Although if it is a guy, maybe a bouquet is not the best idea. We mentioned a guy because, well, gender equality and all that.

It’s $50.

Uber Delivers Adoptable Kittens On-Demand for National Cat Day

Uber Kittens

Every year, people all across the country celebrate cats and their awesomeness on October 29, which is known as National Cat Day. This year, Uber collaborated meme site Cheezburger to do something different. They set up a temporary service which ran for five hours to deliver adoptable kittens on demand to people who wanted one.

In case you haven’t heard of them, Uber is an app that lets people call for a car service with a tap of a button. They updated their app with a “KITTENS!” button last week, where users can instead opt to have a cat delivered instead of a car for $20. For that amount, users were treated to fifteen minutes of snuggling with a kitty plus cupcakes from Ace of Cakes while supplies lasted. They also had the option to adopt the kitten if they wanted to.

The best part? All of the proceeds were donated to local animal shelters. More details about the event that was here.

Placekitten Provides You With Kitties to Use as Placeholders

PlaceKitten

If you’ve ever tried designing a website or doing the layout for a magazine, then you already know how tedious the entire process can be. It’s all well and good if you already have all the elements you need when you start working on the project. Chances are, you won’t, though, and that’s why you need placeholders.

You can just fire up your basic image editor to create placeholders in the size that you need–or you could head on over to Placekitten instead. It’s a free service that offers adorable pictures of kittens that you can use as placeholders. The site can generate any image size that you need. All you have to do is add the dimensions after the URL (width followed by height), and your kitten is good to go.

For example, for a 300×400 image, just type: http://placekitten.com/300/400. Pretty neat, huh?
