Wear Your Favorite Instagram Pics on Your Adidas Kicks

Adidas Instagram Shoes

Taking shoe customization one step farther is Adidas with their soon-to-be-released app, which allows you customize a pair of Adidas ZX Flux training shoes using your favorite Instagram shot. From selfies and groufies to scenic shots and photos of your favorite things, the possibilities are endless.

You might want to reconsider that selfie though because you wouldn’t want to give anyone the chance to step all over you literally now, would you? (Sorry about that, couldn’t resist!)

The app will be released with iOS and Android compatibility this August.

Lovematically ‘Loves’ Posts on Instagram For You Automatically

Lovematically

Do you feel a need to like every post your friends post online? Is browsing through Instagram profiles and hitting that little heart below each and every photo taking too much of your time? Then you need Lovematically, an app that automatically loves each and every post your friends upload on Instagram.

Lovematically’s creator, Rameet Chawla, explains: “It’s our generation’s crack cocaine. People are addicted. We experience withdrawals. We are so driven by this drug, getting just one hit elicits truly peculiar reactions. I’m talking about Likes. Pre-Lovematically, my posts would average 35 likes. Now, I routinely hit the triple-digits for Likes.”

Lovematically was made available to 5,000 users last February 14th. It looks like Instagram isn’t too happy about the app, though, as they’ve begun blocking the app soon after.

PicPaperie Turns Instagram Images Into Gift Wrap

Picpaperie

So you’ve bought the perfect gift. Now it’s time to get the perfect gift wrap. Nice wrapping paper is like icing on the cake; it’s not the main thing people bite into, but it adds to the whole gifting experience. You could go and buy generic gift wrap with Santa and his reindeers printed all over, or you could get specially customized wrapping paper from PicPaperie.

The service basically turns an Instagram image into wrapping paper. The whole thing will be covered in grids with the selected image, so choose wisely. So if it’s a gift for your sister, choose an image from her feed that you know she’ll particularly like. If it’s for your SO, choose a picture with you in it and wrap it up with a box.

PicPaperie was recently funded on Indiegogo and will be launching soon. You can sign up for updates on their website.

Histagram: History as It Happened on Instagram

Histagram

You know something’s really popular when people start making meant-to-go-viral galleries based on that certain something. In this case, it’s Instagram and fictional posts made by well-known figures. There was the Harry Potter Instagram gallery last week, and the most recent one that’s making the rounds is Histagram, which features well-known historical figures posting about key events.

The people and the events are real, but clearly the posts are not. The images are lifted from movies, random pictures, and edited images, which are put into proper context by their captions. Hit the break for a couple more.

If Harry Potter and His Friends Had Instagram…

Harry Potter Instagram5

When you’ve got magic, you don’t really need the Internet or a smartphone for that matter. But let’s just say that in an alternate universe, Harry Potter and the gang got their hands on a smartphone and discovered the wonders of Instagram. If that happened, then these are the imagined posts that they would make.

They go light on the filters, but that’s probably because they all look picture perfect and camera ready most of the time. Harry, Ron, Hermione, their kids, and even Draco get in on the action in this gallery created by Jen Lewis from Buzzfeed. Hit the break to check out more imagined IG posts from the Chosen One and his friends after the break.

Oublio Shows You What’s Hot on Reddit, Twitter, Tumblr, and More

Oublio

A few minutes of Reddit a day keeps the worries away. I don’t know about you, but that statement definitely applies to me, at least, especially when I’ve had a really long day at work. Sometimes, I try to sneak a peek or two at my favorite stress-relief sites during my lunchbreak, but since I don’t have the luxury of time, I browse on over to Oublio instead.

It’s a site that shows the most popular image on Reddit and a bunch of other micro-blogging sites and social networks like Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Flickr. You might not see much, but it’s enough to let you know what’s currently trending on all five sites without having to check out all of them.

This Hotel Lets People With Over 10,000 Followers Stay Overnight for Free

Instagram Hotel

If you have over 10,000 followers on Instagram and happen to be in Sydney, Australia right now, then you might want to drop by the 1888 Hotel before heading home. The five-star luxury hotel is currently hosting a giveaway and are giving away one night’s stay to social media users who meet the minimum requirements.

Their promo makes sense, considering that most details of the hotel’s interiors are Instagram-worthy. There’s even a huge Selfie wall where guests are encouraged to take one after they check in. Even the name is photography-related, as 1888 was the year when Kodak released their first box and roll camera.
