Watch Barbie’s Face Evolve Through 56 Years

Nothing related to tech here, but this image is going viral and it’s just interesting, so we’re posting. It’s a compilation of Barbie’s face since 1959, created by Tumbler user Tenaflyviper. As you can see, her mug changed quite a bit. It should come as no surprise anyway, since our tastes and standards for beauty have also changed quite a bit in the last 56 years. We’re not going to enter any sort of sociological discussion here, just showing you guys a neat image. The right response is “huh, look at that”, and then moving on to the next item.

Bevy Aims To Be Your Central Image Storage Solution

You’ve been taking pics on your smartphone for years, and more recently you’ve started with the iPad, and maybe even your good old point-and-shoot… The point is you likely have a collection in the thousands, which is taking up a bunch of space on every device. Bevy wants to help you store and organize all that, while freeing up space on your mobile device. It sets up in seconds, only requires an app and a quick initial setup, and the whole family can start dumping their pics the minute they come home. It’s not limited to mobile devices: SD cards and USB drives can also be plugged in. Bevy automatically organizes everything by “creation time, by the time they were added to your Bevy, and by the user who added them. You and your family members can also mark Favorites and create Albums, and Bevy will keep track of it all.” You can set it to auto-upload everything, or manually dump what you want. You can even connect Bevy to the cloud so you can access your pics while you’re away. It comes in 1TB and 2TB sizes, for $299 and $349 respectively.

Cool Parents Make Lucky Kid An Awesome R2-D2 Dresser

2 - C87Gbec

This has been around for a couple of years, but we just stumbled upon it. It’s a simple dresser painted to look kind of like R2-D2. Ok, a lot like R2-D2. It was made by Imgur user zombiecontroller for his kid, one Conan, back in 2013.

My parents once made me a snow sled out of a garbage can lid, and tried to make me believe it was a flying saucer. For some reason they were sad when I wouldn’t buy it. I still love them: not everyone can be creative. Good on little Conan here that he got parents with some arts & crafts skills.

Check Out the World’s Smallest Arcade Machine

Smallest Arcade

If you have big thumbs or fat fingers, then you might as well give up on this arcade machine because you won’t be able to score much on it at all. This here is the teeniest arcade machine you’ve probably ever seen in your whole life, and it looks all kinds of awesome.

The mini machine, which measures only 4.88 x 2.05 x 2.35in, was built by computer engineer Mark Slevinsky. It’s one of the many impressive gaming-related feats featured in the Guinness World Records 2013 Gamers Edition, where it was recognized as the smallest arcade machine in the world.

The best part? It actually lets you play clones of classic arcade games like TetrisSpace Invaders, and Breakout on it.
