Death Star Wall Tiles Could Liven Up Your Home

You’re looking at a set of 12″ by 12″ custom made ceramic tiles depicting various Star Wars/Death Star sceneries. If you were to cover an entire wall with them, you’d end up with an intricate landscape oddly reminiscent of the one you saw on the Empire’s planet-eating creation. There are 14 different ones, each 3 to 4 inches deep. The set was created for a client that was looking to create a fancy home theatre, which means they probably cost quite a bit. We’re just not sure how much. The company, Tom Spina Designs, doesn’t list prices, but they do seem open to making a custom decor for interested parties, so they might be willing to make more of these.

Stunning Carbon Fiber Bathtub/Hammock Is The Only Way We’ll Get Clean, From Now On

The sad thing about opulence is that once you’ve experienced it, it’s hard to go back. And while we haven’t had the pleasure to actually soak in the above bathtub, the Vessel, by British company Splinterworks, the expression “ignorance is bliss” sure seems to apply in this case; we were better off not even knowing such a beauty even existed. Made entirely out of carbon fiber with a foam core, the 2.7m (8.8ft.) tub looks like a hammock, hangs from the wall and drains into a specially made opening underneath it. “Pictured here in black, it also available in red, blue, yellow, pink, bronze and pure silver.” Price is mentioned nowhere on the website, but we suspect that sticker shock on this would be a couple orders of magnitude higher than your typical luxury bathroom furnishing.

Mario Bros. Industrial Pipe Lamp: The Awesomest Lamp to Light Up Your Room

Mario Bros. Theme Industrial Pipe Lamp

Mario’s one of those video game characters who I think is truly deserving of the ‘Super’ title. He climbs down tunnels, chucks fireballs, and takes to the sky (provided he’s got the raccoon suit on), all in his quest to save the princess.

Now you can have a functional memento of Mario in action thanks to TRoweDesigns. They specialize in Steampunk, industrial-type lamps like this one inspired by the Mario Bros. franchise. It’s got a single light held up by a black iron pipe that’s encased in a vintage glass insulator to light up your room.

Probably the awesomest part about the lamp is how you’re supposed to switch it on. There are no buttons to press or switches to flick, because all you have to do is pull the chain where Mario’s hanging from and, voila! You’ve got light!
