Accio Dice! Harry Potter Wizard’s Monopoly

Harry Potter Monopoly

It’s taking Parker Brothers long enough to make a Harry Potter-themed edition of Monopoly, so CustomLumos decided to take matters into their own hands. The result? This awesome, one-of-a-kind Monopoly board came that both wizards and muggles can enjoy. The rules remain the same, although the entire game plays out with a touch of magic and mystique.

It starts with the packaging: instead of the usual box, the game comes in a chest instead. From the paper money and actual board itself to the cards and tokens, every little element featured in this custom-made board game has been transformed with a touch of Potter.

The Force is With This 30-Foot ‘Star Wars’ Tapestry

Star Wars Tapestry

If you love something, then whatever you do, no matter how tiring it is, becomes a labor of love. This is the case with artist Aled Lewis and the Coruscant Tapestry, the 30-foot Star Wars-themed tapestry that he knitted over a span of six months. It’s crammed with Jedi goodness and loads of Wookies, droids, wampas, Sith Lords, and of course, everyone’s favorite grand master Jedi, Yoda, along with highlights from the franchise that die-hard fans will be able to identify in a jiffy.

Every stitch on the Klostern fabric was made by hand and Aled’s attention to detail is amazing. Not only that, but he also sewed in some quotes written in Aurebesh.Continue Reading

Cat Battle Armor Made From Leather

cat-armor-4

You gotta love crazy cat people, if only for the entertainment value. You’re looking at a handmade $500 Cat Battle Armor, being sold on Etsy by a seller who goes by the name of “schnabuble”. We’re going to go out on a limb and assume this person really loves cats and gave the kitty in the picture some kitty drugs or kitty hypnosis or something, because the cats we’ve come across would’ve “battled” to keep the armour off. Anyway, here’s a description in the seller’s own words:

100% wearable, flexible, and comfortable, the Cat Battle Armor is a for-reals armor harness for your kitty. Completely hand-made from durable veg-tan leather, this is no mere costume piece. Your cat will become an unstoppable force for slaughter in this fully articulated suit, shielding him/her from foes while allowing unimpeded movement across the battlefield or living room floor. The imposing torso section features several riveted, articulated plates and a terrifying rack of dorsal spines.

Cute.

Custom Handwriting Necklaces: Written Mementos You Can Wear

Custom Handwriting Necklace

A phrase from a love letter. A line from a poem. A few words from a note. Sometimes, they just stick with you, even when the person who wrote them is long gone. You can preserve the sheets, but you can now immortalize bits and pieces of those handwritten mementos by turning them into something wearable. It’s all possible thanks to jewelry artist Brittany Leigh.

The idea came to her when her grandmother passed away. She wanted to make something for her mom that kept the former “close despite her absence,” explaining: “I wanted it to be happy, and beautiful, and capture the essence of my grandmother. I found her handwriting translated all of these things in a wonderful way.”

Would You Suck On This DeathStar?

death-star-lollipop

Because it’s a lollipop. That’s why you’d maybe consider sucking on it. It’s a nice looking lollipop shaped like the DeathStar.

The mold I use is unique and hand crafted, allowing for no seams. Each side is poured independently and is completely smooth all the way around. The front of the lollipop is a proprietary blend of Isomalt, Sugar and Corn Syrup. This blend produces supurb clarity. The backside is poured with a mixture of corn syrup and sugar, color black.
Length including stick is about 5″ and weight is 1.2oz each. Flavor is Marshmallow.

Handcrafted candies don’t come cheap, but we think they novelty alone is worth the $13 for 6 price tag. The artist also has lollies shaped like other things, such as the Eye of Sauron.
