AWESOME: Man Sings Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now While Impersonating Family Guy Characters

Holy jumping Mexican beans, this video is great! No, it’s got not a single thing to do with tech, other than hey, it’s on the Interwebs. But we think our fellow geeks will appreciate Paul Vlahos’ talents. He’s able to do spot-on impersonations of Cleveland, Peter Griffin, Herbert the Pervert, Stewie and a few others. But that’s not all. He has them singing Chris Brown’s ‘Look At Me Now’. It’s freaking sweet, as Peter would say.

No really, it is. Watch this vid.

I lost it at Joe’s part.

Awesome Geek Dad Mods Zelda and Turns Link into a Girl in the Process

Legend of Zelda Mod

We’ve got another awesome parent to add to our list of Awesome Parents of 2012, who will be joining the ranks of the awesome mom who modded her son’s push car into a DeLorean. This time around, we’ve got Mike Hoye who did some modding on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker so that every reference to Link refers to him as a her. In short, Mike turned Link into a girl for his little three-year-old girl named Maya.

Mike explains that he did it because “she’s the hero of the story.” Maybe Maya finds the story more relatable with a female lead or a heroine, so her dad made it happen. It took a lot of work, too, since it probably took Mike a few weeks at the very least to finish modding the entire game.

You can read about how he did it here, if you’re curious.

Seiko Japan Launches Limited Edition Star Wars Watches

The Star Wars saga is perhaps the cult classic amongst geeks, so it’s no surprise to see products like the above watch making the rounds whenever they’re announced. Seiko Japan is putting out a series of wristwatches featuring various characters from the films. The one in the picture is the Seiko Brightz R2-D2, and features a 300dpi screen that can display scenes from the movies. Other watches are more traditional looking and come in flavours of Darth Maul, Darth Vader and Stormtroopers. Depending on the model, there will be between 500 and 1,500 of each made. With limited supply comes of course the fancy prices: around $1,800, although now that they’re already on the market, you can find some on eBay for less.
