Mini Golf is one of those games that can be intensely frustrating for many reasons. For me I get frustrated when my ball won’t go around those damned loops and when my son beats me. It’s not fun to see a 7-year-old gloat over a hole in one while I try to fish my ball out of a water trap.

Digital Chocolate has announced a new iPhone game called Mini Golf 99 Holes Theme Park that is available on the App store now for $5.99. The game offers 99 different holes and four different courses to choose from.

Each course has different obstacles to challenge players including spring jumps, teleportation pads, and bumpers. Players can choose from five different characters to play each with their own special powers like ball brake and more. The screens for the game look like graphics are good and I controls will be motion based.

The first Fast & Furious movie was really cool and I liked it a lot. The second and third films in the franchise were not nearly as cool and enjoyable to me. Friday marked the release of the fourth film in the franchise with the original actors, and from what I hear it is a pretty good movie.

As typically happens today, a new video game launched alongside the movie for the iPhone. The new Fast & Furious game is the sixth game in the franchise to come to the iPhone and iPod touch. The game is available now on the iTunes store for $5.99.

Players get 32 different cars to choose from with exotics, tuners, and muscle cars in the mix. The accelerometer controls the cars by tilting the screen as expected in an iPhone racing game. Seven modes are included in the game with road race, drift race, drag race, GPS race, tunnel run, pursuit and evade. Players can also have one-on-one races for pink slips and the game includes social and connectivity features.

If you’re in Chicago over the next few weeks you may want to check out Wired NextFest going on now until October 12. While there you should check out the game Brainball.

Brainball is played by you and an opponent sitting at the gaming table that vaguely resembles the table version of shuffleboard. You place a band around your head with metal contacts that will monitor your brainwaves. The headband allows you and your opponent to move a little ball using nothing, literally. The headband checks your alpha and theta brainwaves and moves the ball based on how low they are, the less active they are the faster the ball moves.

Lowered brain activity occurs when you are relaxed and not thinking too hard. So the best way to win the game is to not think about it or anything else.
