Tweet a Coke to Show Loved Ones You Care

Tweet a Coke

Sometimes, all a person needs is an ice-cold bottle of Coca-Cola. You don’t have to be close by to hand them their Coke, because all you’ll need is Twitter. The beverage company’s marketing team has upped their social media interactivity by allowing users to send friends, loved ones, and random strangers a bottle of coke…straight from Twitter!

To get started, users will have to authenticate their account and enter their credit card information. When they’re ready to send some Coke, all they have to do is tweet a link to their intended recipient. When opened, this link lets the receiver redeem their bottle of coke from participating Regal Cinemas locations. Pretty neat, huh?

Mini Me, Mini You: Shapify 3D Selfie

Shapify 3D Selfie

Taking selfies one step farther and giving them the 3D treatment is Shapify. Their service lets you turn your self-portraits into a three-dimension action figure that you can proudly display in your home or office. All you need is the Shapify app and a Kinect sensor (borrow your neighbor’s, if you don’t have one!) to 3D scan yourself.

When you’re done, send it off to Shapify to order your selfie figurine. We have to warn you, though, this definitely costs more than your average selfie, since it’ll set you $79 back.

Water Balloon Fights Will Never Be The Same

bunch-o-balloons-2

There’s nothing quite as much fun as a water balloon fight on a hot summer day. But it’s safe to say that water balloon warfare is a field that’s seen relatively little technological innovation over the years. That’s about to end with the introduction of the “Bunch O’ Balloons” product. It’s a device that allows you to fill up 37 water balloons at once, using nothing but a garden hose. It unites the 37 balloon stems into one large stem which is then simply screwed onto the end of the hose. Open the faucet, fill them up, then just shake them loose; a special clamp automatically ties them shut as you shake so you don’t even need to tie them individually. At this rate, you’ll be able to fill about 100 a minute, which should be plenty fast enough to keep you armed through an entire afternoon.

The Kickstarter understandably blew right past its $10,000 goal, and is sitting at $537,000 at the time of writing. People are excited about this, and at $17 for a pack of 100, it won’t break the bank. Shipping is slated for September, however, so unless you live in a hot climate, you might not be able to get this in time for this summer.

This Mirror Takes Your Selfies and Posts Them Online

Selfie mirror

Take a selfie every day? Then this mirror is for you. It’s aptly called the S.E.L.F.I.E.–which is the abbreviation of the “Self Enhancing Live Feed Image Engine.” It seems kind of forced, but at least they made it work with the acronym. Staying true to its name, the Selfie mirror takes your selfies without your outstretched arm or that monopod showing up in the frame.

It’s powered by a Mac Mini computer hidden on the other side. The mirror is equipped with a webcam and LED lights that are connected to an Arduino chip, which functions as your timer. All you have to do is say cheese, and voila! The mirror takes a snapshot and posts it to your social media profile in a snap.

Mega Hammock: Now You Can Chill With the Whole Gang

Mega Hammock_001

What can beat lying on a hammock on a warm summer’s day with a cold drink in hand and not a care in the world? Doing the same thing but with your friends, that’s what! Most people don’t have enough hammocks (or trees to hang the hammocks on) in their backyards to accommodate everyone in the gang, but that’s what the Mega Hammock is for.

It’s huge enough to fit up to three people, but a few more can probably squeeze in as it has a total weight rating of a thousand pounds. The lying surface measures 8 feet by 5 feet, so as long as you have a big empty space out back, then this should fit. The hammock is made from handcrafted from coated ripstop nylon by an FAA-certified parachute rigger, so you’re assured of its quality and durability.

The Mega Hammock retails for $375.

Mean Cards Unfold to Reveal Heartwarming Messages

Mean Cards_001

Sometimes, things aren’t always as they seem. A book with a boring cover might be the most interesting piece of literature ever written. A tough-looking guy might actually be the kindest, most soft-spoken guy you’ll ever meet. Cards with mean messages on the front might unfold to reveal words of wisdom and messages that’ll warm even the coldest of hearts.

The latter is what Etsy Shop FINCHandHare have created. Snarky, even rude, messages are printed on the front. However, once the card is unfolded, the true message is revealed to its recipient.

Fierce Fashion: Jeans Distressed By Tigers, Lions, and Bears

Zoo Jeans

Got a passion for fashion? Well, so do the animals at the Kamine Zoo in Hitachi City, Japan. A volunteer group called the Mineko Club teamed up with the zoo to create the Zoo Jeans which are truly like no other. These distressed pants are ripped and customized by none other than the tigers, lions, and bears of the zoo!

The handlers basically wrapped the animals’ favorite toys–rubber balls and old tires–in denim and gave it back to them. After they’re done gnawing and clawing at their denim-wrapped toys, the denim was then used to make the Zoo Jeans.

Stressed Out? Desktop Fireworks is an Instant Mid-Day Pick-Me-Up

Desktop Fireworks

Stress can make people do crazy things. It can make someone feel trapped and so wrapped up in trying to resolve the issue at hand that it makes them forget about the other things that matter. Work or school, after all, isn’t everything. So when you start feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, defeated, and helpless, then here’s what you should do: hit the Desktop Fireworks button and watch your desk come to life. You should call a friend afterward to talk things through, though, when the excitement has died down.

The Desktop Fireworks is the brainchild of Tomomi Sayuda. It’s actually a set of fun lights, noisemakers, and confetti crammed into random stationary and supplies you’d commonly find on a table.
