Make It Real: Doctor Who LEGO Set

Doctor Who LEGO

It’s surprising how something–or rather, someone–as popular as Doctor Who still doesn’t have a LEGO set to call his own. That might soon change if the set created by Andrew Clark gets enough votes on the LEGO Cuuso website. It’s currently has about 8,600 supporters, which is short of the 10,000 required before LEGO reviews the design and gives the decision on whether or not they’ll make the set into a reality.

Andrew’s Doctor Who set features all the well-known elements from the hit show, including the Doctor (of course!), his sonic screwdriver, and TARDIS.

Chasing After Daleks: Doctor Who Invades Pacman

Doctor Who Pacman Game

The Doctor isn’t one to run from a fight, but he’s smart, so he’ll run if he has to. Like in the Doctor PacMan game, for example. It’s essentially PacMan injected with Whovian elements, where the usual yellow dot-chomping dude is transformed into Doctor Who with the addition of a messy mop of hair and a pixelated bow tie.

Instead of the usual ghosts, ghastly Daleks (that’s Caan, Thay, Jast, and Seec, if you’re curious) are chasing Doctor PacMan through the labyrinth, where the occasional sonic screwdriver will turn the tables and have the Doctor chasing after them instead.

The game was made by Ruben P. Vargas from Rarity Workshop and you can play it HERE.

Not Bigger On the Inside, But Still Awesome: Stand-Up TARDIS Cardboard

Doctor Who Box

If you have two hundred bucks to spare and are a die-hard Whovian who would give anything to have his own TARDIS, then this cardboard stand-up that looks just like the one the Doctor has might just be the thing for you. The exterior features the time machine’s signature blue hue with the familiar “police box” sign painted right on top.

The cardboard stand-up measures 55-inches square by 180-inches tall and is big enough to fit a fully-grown man (and several more–although you shouldn’t expect it to magically expand to fit your entire gang!).

It’s available from Urban Collector for $225. Alternatively, you can just go and get some paint from Home Depot and paint over an empty refrigerator box.

You’ll Never Be Thirsty Again: TARDIS Soda Machine

TARDIS Soda Machine

You’ll never be thirsty or run out of drinks ever again, not when you’ve got the TARDIS Soda Machine–and an efficient crew who’s on top of the inventory, that is. Doctor Who didn’t turn TARDIS into a soda dispensing machine to give mankind a never-ending supply of sugary and fizzy drinks. Rather, he merely inspired a bunch of guys from Epic Comics to turn their soda machine into the time and space-traveling box that has gotten the Doctor out of a lot of tough scraps.

You can see some photos of the build after the break.

TARDIS Mini Fridge Has Unlimited Space for a Lifetime’s Supply of Fish Fingers and Custard

TARDIS Mini Fridge

Doctor Who is the only doctor who never really ever dies. That’s because whenever he’s on the verge of death (and eventually dies), he regenerates and comes back to Earth with a new face, a new personality, and a whole new set of odd quirks and weird preferences. He’ll still have his trusty sonic screwdriver and TARDIS, of course, but aside from that, everything changes.

Including his favorite food. If you follow the show closely, then you’ll know that the eleventh reincarnation (that’s the present Doctor Who) loves chomping down fish fingers and custard. Knowing him, he’ll probably want to hoard a lifetime’s supply of his favorite grub in his trusty fridge. And since he’s the Doctor, there’s only one refrigerator that can meet his needs: the TARDIS Mini Fridge.

For Whovians Only: Awesome 10th Doctor Costume Tee

10th Doctor Costume Tee

Some people say they can’t forget their first time–or their First Doctor. But if you ask me, the Tenth Doctor was the greatest Doctor Who incarnation there ever was (no offense to the Eleventh Doctor.) While they are essentially the same being, we get a ‘new’ Doctor with a new appearance and different quirks every time he has to regenerate.

If you’re like me and agree that David Tennant was the ultimate Doctor Who to ever play the titular role in the series, then you might want to add this 10th Doctor Costume Tee to your Whovianistic collection of Doctor Who paraphernalia and collectibles.

It’s available for $19.99 – $21.99 on ThinkGeek.

Sonic Screwdriver Is An Actual Screwdriver As Well

By Chris Scott Barr

With eleven different Doctors, Doctor Who fans have a lot to choose from, and a lot of different Sonic Screwdrivers as well. Most of them are simply replicas that do nothing but look fancy. Others come in the form of a pen, stylus or some other semi-useful device. My question is why not make one that’s a screwdriver?

They do indeed make one that drives screws, as they say. It has three interchangeable (and reversible) tips, for a total of six different heads. The tips store neatly away inside the screwdriver when not actually in use. It also lights up and has sound effects. Really, what more could you ask from a Sonic Screwdriver?
