Star Wars Costumes for Your Pooch: You’ll Love ‘Em, He’ll Hate ‘Em!

Star Wars Dog

You can’t ride a dog like you ride a horse, but you can let certain creatures ride it, provided they’re the right shape and size. I’m talking about select characters from the Star Wars franchise that are being featured in this set of doggy costumes by Costume Craze.

The costimes will transform your pooch into a Bantha, Dewback, Tauntaun, or AT-AT. And to make the reference even clearer, each of these costumes feature the appropriate passenger on the species of choice. For example, a stalwart Stormtrooper sits high and mighty on the back of the Dewback costume, ready to attack.

Dogsbutter: Because Dogs Want Peanut Butter, Too

Dogsbutter

Dogs can eat regular human peanut butter, although in moderation. But if you want to give your canine best friend a treat without fear of causing allergies or making it sick, then give it peanut butter that’s especially formulated for dogs. Aptly called Dogsbutter, this creamy, peanut butter-flavored spread can be enjoyed slathered on your dog’s favorite biscuits or on your fingers.

Each jar is notably pricier than regular human peanut butter at $10, but if you love your dog as much as you love yourself, then price wouldn’t even be an issue.

Hi-Tech Powered Pet Door Gives Your Pooch Freedom

Owning a canine is as much fun as a barrel of monkeys, but it is also a lot of work. We’re not going to list the ways owning a dog is hard because frankly, you’re not so dense as to not know what we mean. We’re really just looking for a way to segue onto the above product, the “Powered Pet Door, PX-1.” It’s a door that lets your dog go in or out of the house, but doesn’t simultaneously offer an entryway to any small, limber and motivated robber. The powered door opens when an ultrasonic collar worn by your dog is within range, so only your pooch has access. And it doesn’t just unlock: it actually opens. You can set the range at which the collar activates the mechanism, as well as decide if it works as “out only”, “in only” or both. It accommodates pets up to 100 lbs and can be installed on your existing door. Just cut a hole, screw this in, and you’re set.

We think it’s a rather smart way to give your dog the freedom to do its business, rather than have to get up at some ungodly hour to watch Fido excrete in the backyard.

It’s $270.

Slutty Halloween Costumes for Your Dog Don’t Look So Slutty After All

Slutty Halloween Costumes

You probably already know that the easiest costumes to do are those that begin with the “slutty” adjective. Just pick any profession, tack the adjective before it, and come to the party dressed in form-fitting clothes that are far too short and skimpy–and you’re all set. As long as you’re doing this type of costume, why not let your canine companion in on the fun with these Slutty Halloween Costumes for your dog?

Your dog will probably hate you for it, but hey, this is one day of the year where you’ll have a perfectly legitimate excuse to dress up your pet in the finest (and weirdest) threads you can find. The thing is, your dog won’t really look “slutty” but it’s the concept that makes the entire thing so incredibly fun and the costumes so oddly creative.

Above, you’ll see a doggy Marilyn Monroe. Adorable, right? Although I have a feeling the chest padding is a tad uncomfortable. Check out more pooches dressed like Snooki, Katy Perry, and Madonna after the jump.

Orapup Promises to Get Rid of Your Dog’s Doggy Breath

Orapup

Love your pets like you love your kids? Then you’ll probably want to hear all about the Orapup, which is a doggy tongue cleaner that promises to combat bad doggy breath by getting rid of it, right at the source.

Most people brush their teeth and scrape their tongues every day, but some of them still end up with pretty nasty breath. So you can’t really blame your canine pals for having less-than-stellar breath since they can’t brush and all. While there are a ton of doggy toothbrushes available, there’s only one pet tongue cleaner that I’ve heard of so far–and that’s the Orapup.

If you’ve ever tried brushing your dog’s teeth, then you know it could end up being quite the chore, especially since you have to hold them down and make them stay still while you brush. The cool thing about the Orapup is that you don’t need to hold them down, because it’s been designed to clean your pooch’s tongue in the easiest way possible: by having them lick it.

Hit the jump to check out a video featuring the Orapup, as well as links on how you can get one for yourself!
