The Dell XPS line of computers is more performance oriented than others, so it stands to reason that the 8500 pictured above comes standard with a decent amount of hardware, like: Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA III HDD, DVD Burner optical drive, Wireless-N, Bluetooth 4.0, 1GB Radeon HD 7570 graphics. It’s also customizable, like most things Dell, but if you leave it as described, you’ll be able to take it home for all of $659, after a $215 rebate. That’s $90 lower than the last time the XPS 8500 was on special.

It’s kind of weird bringing news of an all-in-one PC just a day after Apple announced its revamped iMac. Compared to that razor sharp beauty, it’s hard to get excited about the Dell Optiplex 9010. But you know what the Dell has that the iMac doesn’t? A decent price tag. Matter of fact, after today’s rebate, you only have to pay $799 for a “non-touch model with a 2.8GHz Dual-core CPU, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, and Windows 7 Pro.” It’s a nice PC, nice price. Apple’s way too overpriced anyway, everyone knows that. Do you wanna be that guy?

Well, it’s back to desktops. Joy. But hey, look at that: an 8GB of RAM system for $529. That’s a pretty decent amount of RAM, and considering it also comes wrapped with a desktop enclosure, a Core i5-2320 3GHz Quad-core CPU, and a 1TB Hard Drive, the price is pretty reasonable. Now let’s be clear, the Inspiron is not “The PC You’ve Always Wanted”. But it’s a good value desktop, will get the job done and if you’re a small business owner, there’s a good chance you’re looking at this with some interest.

It was just last Monday that we were looking at another bundle. And while we’re still big fans of the bundles, we can’t say that they’re all created equal. The Dell Inspiron 15R… We’ve seen that one a lot, haven’t we. But it keep coming back, and we’ll keep on mentioning it because it’s a decent laptop. After today’s $289 rebate, it’s $849 to own. For $150 less than a grand, you get: a Core i7-3612QM 2.3GHz Quad-core CPU, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, 750GB 7200RPM Hard Drive and 8X DVD Burner as well as a 2GB Radeon HD 7730M discrete graphics card, 1080p display, Waves MaxxAudio 4 + Skullcandy speakers, and Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Premier Elements 9 bundle. A decent amount of kit, to be sure.
