It Takes Two: ‘Get Me Outta This Cage!’ Halloween Costume

Get Me Outta This Cage Halloween Costume At a loss for Halloween costume ideas? Then grab your best bud (or someone who’s in the same boat in the costume department) and team up for an unusual collaborative Halloween get-up that’ll turn heads and even elicit a few laughs: the Get Me Outta This Cage costume. Technically, it’s just one costume, but you’ll need two people to achieve the full effect. One guy will be in the gorilla suit, while the other one plays the, well, caged human.

Neither can probably keep the charade going throughout the night–carrying an adult dude isn’t exactly easy on the arms, and sitting in that cage all cramped up can make you cramp up–but it’s definitely fun while it lasts. There’s another version of the costume where an abominable snowman takes the place of the gorilla.

The costumes are available online starting at $158.

Ditch Your Head This Halloween: Alien Mind Control Halloween Mask

Alien Mind Control Halloween Mask

This mask wins hands-down against any other Halloween mask out there in the market. It’s strange, it’s creepy, and it’s all sorts of gross– in short, it’s the perfect mask for you if you want to win any awards this Halloween. A commandeering, noseless alien occupies the space where your head normally is, holding controls that presumably allow it to control your headless, bloody body.

The mask is foam-filled, so you don’t have to worry about the alien’s butt getting in your face when you’ve got this on.

I Are Blockhead: Giant Robot Block Head Costume

Giant Robot Block Head Costume

Don’t be another zombie in the crowd this Halloween. Be a robot instead–a robot with a block for a head. For 30 bucks, you can wear whatever clothes you want but still be in costume with this thing over your head. The only downside is that you can’t eat or drink when you’re wearing it, but you can always take it off when it’s time to chow.

The robot head’s highlight? It’s LED eyes that’ll hypnotize anyone who stares at it for too long.

Go Animal This Halloween: Eagle Mask and Talon Gloves

Eagle Mask and Talon Gloves

If you’re too lazy to get a proper costume or make one this Halloween, then go for something outrageous instead. Case in point: this bald eagle mask and eagle talon gloves that will (sort of) transform you into a man-eagle. Both are made from latex and should fit most adult heads and hands, as long as your measurements fall within the average.

Finish your look by putting on a shirt bearing our flag’s design. And if you can be bothered to, make a set of wings to go with it.

Everybody Was Sumo Wrestling: Sumo Suits

Sumo Suits

Sumo wrestling ain’t sumo without the extra padding. And by padding, we mean all that extra weight (fat, muscle, and everything in between) on your body. The closest thing you can get to sumo wrestling is by donning this Sumo Suit and going at your opponent like there’s no tomorrow. Granted, you won’t be able to crush your opponent under your weight– I mean, it’s just a suit with lots of padding, for crying out loud– but the extra bulk will let you move and simulate the motions of an actual sumo wrestler.

At least, in theory. It’s available for $1,600 (or you could just, you know, buy a lot of Big Macs with the money and gain that extra weight for real.)

‘Living Dead’ Costume Looks Like Something an Actual Zombie Would Wear

Living Dead Costume

Halloween is still a few months away, but it’s never too early to buy a costume, especially if it’s as awesome as this one. Zombies have been overdone these past couple of years thanks to the Walking Dead franchise, and as they say, if you can’t beat them, then join them. You’ll probably be one of thousands of people who’ll be dressing up as zombies yet again, but get this Living Dead costume by DCATX and you’re guaranteed to look the most dead and zombiefied of the bunch.

The costume includes the suit coat, inner long-sleeved shirt, tie, trousers, and the dress shoes. Each article of clothing is in various stages of decay, with a generous smattering of bloodstains and rips all over for added effect.

Check Out the Happiest Costume on Earth!

Happiest Costume Ever

Disneyland might be the happiest place on earth, but this here is the happiest costume in the world. As you might’ve probably already guessed by now, the costume draws inspiration from the theme park itself. The costume is a handful but it was a challenge that Rob Cockerham of Cockeyed gleefully took on.

The costume is essentially a wearable miniature replica of the world-famous theme park. Spot Space Mountain, the Jungle Cruise, Fantasyland theater, Autopia, the Astro Orbiter, and the Innoventions building on the massive costume, among a host of other attractions. While Rob can definitely walk around while wearing it, I doubt he’ll be able to take a drink from the water fountain or fit through most doorways.

Meet Cooper, the Little Ghostbuster with the Ecto-1 Push Car

Cooper Ghostbusters Costume

Remember Cooper, the adorable kid who shot to fame after word of how his amazing parents built him a DeLorean for Halloween spread like wildfire on the Internet? Well, he’s back again with another awesome costume and push car mod care of his parents, Jeremy and Cory Smith.

Whereas they just went with an idea for last year’s DeLorean, they put in a lot more thought on this year’s costume as they held a brainstorming session before working on it, which saw Cooper’s trusty push car transformed into the Ecto-1. It’s hard to believe they managed to pull everything off by using materials like cardboard boxes, take-out salsa cups, and soda bottles for the car.

Très Magnifique: Disney Princesses Decked Out in Pop Culture Halloween Costumes

Disney Princesses in Costume

As someone who grew up watching Disney movies and wishing for princessy stuff to happen in real life, I think this gallery of Disney princesses dressed in pop culture-themed Halloween costumes is nothing short of awesome. Most of the princesses stick to one persona. Some are damsels in distress, a couple are rebellious and angst-filled, while most are just too kind and have their toes stepped on by others most of the time.

So it’s definitely interesting to see another side of them, even though it wasn’t done by Disney. This gallery was created by Isaiah Stephens, who gave each princess a Halloween makeover by dressing them up in costumes that somehow reflect their character a bit. There’s Aurora as Daenerys Targaryen, Pocahontas as Katniss Everdeen, Snow White as Wonder Woman (she looks super!), Jasmine as Chun-Li, and more.

Check out more from the series in the gallery after the break.
