Sort-Of Fairy Tale Wedding: Couple Gets Married as Shrek and Fiona

You know how some couples decide to do theme weddings that are either so sweet or so spot-on (or both) that it goes viral and the whole blogosphere reads about it in the next couple of days? Well, we spotted another wedding that’ll probably make the rounds on the Internet, although for different reasons: the groom and the bride got married dressed and made up to look like Shrek and Fiona (in her ogre form), respectively.

I mean, it’s still fairly sweet (what wedding isn’t?) and the costumes look pretty well made, but I just have to ask: Why?

Heavy Metal Hero: Fan-Made Iron Man Gauntlet Can Shoot Real Lasers

Have you ever felt so passionate about something that you just wanted to break out the tools and make something to that thing you’re so passionate about? Well, I never did, since I’m not really good with the DIY stuff, but Patrick Priebe is–and he’s showing the rest of the world just how awesome he is at it by making this Iron Man gauntlet.

The gauntlet isn’t all for show. It can actually shoot high-powered lasers that have the capacity to burn stuff (ouch!) and pop balloons. He didn’t do any tutorials or post any in-the-making images so you won’t be able to replicate this at home, unless you do so with your own resourcefulness and ingenuity.

It Takes Five People Coming Together to Form Voltron, the Defender of the Universe

All hail the mighty Voltron! I literally grew up watching reruns of the series on television when I was a kid, so he’s pretty much my favorite robot of all time. He’s got a huge following, too, so it’s uncommon to see people dress up as Voltron during cons.

Voltron is larger than life, so it makes sense that one person is not enough to portray this character. A dude who goes by the handle of Crazy Ray agrees, which is why he spent over two months painstakingly cutting, gluing, and putting together five costumes that come together to form a single giant Voltron Force figure.
