Fullscreen Anything Lets You View Stuff Up Close

Fullscreen Anything

Do you find yourself squinting at your screen, trying to make out the text and images displayed, either because your eyesight’s getting worse or because your browser is cluttered with too many short cuts and tool bars? If you use Google Chrome, then the Fullscreen Anything extension might be something you’ll find useful.

Aside from enlarging articles and other content, the extension will come in especially handy when you’re watching flash video or playing flash games on free sites that are chock full of ads that you normally won’t be able to get rid of. That’s because it lets you blow up certain elements on a page for added convenience and easier browsing.

You can download it here.

New Chrome Feature Tells You Which Tab Is Making Noise

googlechromebeta32250wide There has to be very few things more annoying than having 20 tabs open when suddenly one of them starts playing music, and you just don’t know which one it is. This of course sends you on a furious hunt for that stupid website that would dare run ads that play audio without your consent, which is an activity most often accompanied with a generous amount of swearing. Well, a new feature on Google Chrome can dramatically cut down on the time it takes to take care of business, by showing a small icon on the offending tab. You’ll be able to zoom in immediately, and shut that down before you have to start pulling your hair out.

Currently available on the Chrome 32 beta release, we expect the feature to be implemented on the next stable release.

You can either unfriend them all or quit social media indefinitely–or you could drown yourself in some Ryan Gosling lovin’ by installing the Hey Girl extension on Chrome.

Hey Girl was created by Katherine Champagne under the direction of Kevin Solorio when the former was attending Dev Bootcamp Chicago. The name of the app was probably inspired by the numerous memes that are circulating all over the web, each of which features Gosling’s mug.
