Cat Lounge Doubles As Cat Scratcher

71d-4V8xb6L._SL1500_

Oh sure, this has been around a long while. But it’s new to us, and surely some of you. It’s called the PetFusion Cat Scratcher Lounge and if you’re the owner of happy cats and unhappy furniture, this might be for you. Made from sandwiched layers of cardboard, the thing lets your feline friend both nap (as this is a cat’s primary bread-winning activity) and sharpen his claws (which he does, regardless of pay). It has attracted over 1,300 5-star reviews on Amazon, so we’re hoping it’s a sign cats like it. It weighs 10 pounds, so it’s unlikely your kitty will move it around the house or otherwise mess up your Feng Shui.

$50.

Placekitten Provides You With Kitties to Use as Placeholders

PlaceKitten

If you’ve ever tried designing a website or doing the layout for a magazine, then you already know how tedious the entire process can be. It’s all well and good if you already have all the elements you need when you start working on the project. Chances are, you won’t, though, and that’s why you need placeholders.

You can just fire up your basic image editor to create placeholders in the size that you need–or you could head on over to Placekitten instead. It’s a free service that offers adorable pictures of kittens that you can use as placeholders. The site can generate any image size that you need. All you have to do is add the dimensions after the URL (width followed by height), and your kitten is good to go.

For example, for a 300×400 image, just type: http://placekitten.com/300/400. Pretty neat, huh?

Grump in a Bottle: Grumpy Cat Grumppuccino Bottled Coffee Drink

Grumpy Cat Grumppuccino

The Grumpy Cat is one of the most popular memes on the Internet. It broke through barriers and crossed over from the virtual world to the real world long ago (remember the Grumpy Cat bust?) and now it’s about to make its way into your coffee mug.

The Official Grumpy Cat Facebook page recently announced that a new bottled coffee drink bearing the unimpressed feline’s image and likeness will be released soon. It’ll be called the “Grumppuccino” and will be made available in three flavors, although those flavors and the drink’s availability still haven’t been announced yet.

Sounds grumpy-licious to me! Who else is excited?

Every Cat Needs One: Solar System Cat Hat

Solar System Cat Hat

Your cat will probably hate you for it, but it’s just too funny to pass up on.

For many cat owners, their feline companions are the centers of the universe. This hat by Etsy seller Wendy Casazza Scruton just translates that fact into something tangible because it literally makes the cat the center of one particularly tiny universe. Wendy actually calls it the “cat fascinator” and describes it as being best for extra patient kitties.

Snapcat is the Catty Version of Snapchat for Kitties

Snapcat

Got a photogenic cat? Then show the world your precious kitty by letting your pet take its own selfies with the help of the Snapcat app. Once you fire it up, a red dot will appear on the screen. In theory, your cat will be transfixed by this dot and will bat at it with its paw. This action will signal your front-facing camera to snap a picture of your feline companion while its at play. What could be cuter or more adorable than that?

Cat Beards: Cat Required, Facial Hair Optional

Cat Beard

Cat Beards are a thing now. Images of cat owners positioning their felines strategically to make it look like they had a beard have gone viral over the past few days and the trend is still going strong.

Cat Bearding had its humble beginnings around a year ago when one cat owner decided to take a picture with his pet looking like his beard on catasters Tumblr. The rest, as they say, is history–until the next best or funniest viral thing comes along. You can hit the break for a clip featuring the best of the best cat beards posted on the interwebs so far.

Sushi Cats: A Photo Series of Adorable Felines Served Up as Sushi

Sushi Cats0

Love cats? Love sushi? Then you’ll love Sushi Cats. Before you freak out and insist that you don’t find cat sushi appetizing, let me reassure you that Sushi Cats isn’t sushi that’s made from cats. Instead, it’s actually a photo series by Japan-based company Tange & Nakimushi Peanuts that showcases the most adorable cats dressed up as sushi.

The cats are perched on a comfortable-looking gigantic rice pillow and they’re “topped” with an array of stuff, ranging from condiments and seafood to handbags and striped socks. There are more photos from the series after the jump.

Hackycat Wants You to Kick Cats and Collect Cheezburgers–All In the Name of Fun!

Hackycat

Love them or hate them, cats and the hoards of cat-related memes, games, and images spread all over the interwebs are here to stay. The newest is Hackycat, which wants you to save cats from exploding–because for some reason, they’ll get blown to bits if they hit the ground–by kicking them. It’s either a sore behind or, well, an impending explosion, so I’d definitely choose the former if I were a cat.

To make things more fun and challenging, the player can get some awesome power-ups and superkicks by collecting cheezburgers (without the ‘E’), because yeah, we all know the secret to a long and active life are these calorie-filled sandwiches. Hit the break for a trailer of the game.

Vinecats Shows You That It’s Cats All Over the World Tonight

Vinecats

Vine is supposedly Twitter’s answer to Instagram, but it seems like a weak concept at best. The idea behind it is to capture videos up to six seconds long and share them with others through the iOS app. Most of the ones we’ve seen so far are basically 6-second long clips of still (or slightly animate) objects, animals, or scenery–nothing that a picture can’t take care of.
