Bruce Wayne Approves: Batman Molded Leather Backpack

Batman Backpack

Whoever said that backpacks were for nerds obviously hasn’t seen Batman’s molded leather backpack. Okay, so it’s not exactly his, but it’s fashioned after the one that Batman used on the rooftop of a skyscraper in Hong Kong in The Dark Knight. It was also featured in the conclusion to the box office smashing trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises.

The backpack was made by UD Replicas, which is known for creating bike leathers that are based from movie costumes. Hit the break to check out more photos of the most badass backpack you’ll ever see in your life.

So Stupid But So Funny: Batman Replaces Characters in Classic Movie Scenes

Everybody knows Batman. I mean, who wouldn’t recognize him in his black mask with the furrowed brows and pointy ears? When Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy ended last year, fans cried buckets and wished there were more movies to come featuring the caped crusader. And come they will, since a reboot is already in the works.

Until that time comes, though, you’ll have to settle with the countless spoofs and parodies people are making based on the Dark Knight. This particular one we’ve got here shows Batman replacing a host of other characters in some of the most popular classic movies of all time, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Home Alone.

3D Printed Bottle Opener Rings: Pop Bottles Open Like a Superhero

Opener Ring

Some of the best things in life are kept sealed inside bottles. Maybe that’s why a lot of seemingly random stuff–like rulers, remote controls, phone cases, and now, rings–are being fitted with bottle openers, so the user or the wearer can pop a bottle open anytime, anywhere, without having to get up to do so.

These bottle opener rings are 3D printed from stainless steel and feature logos from well-known franchises like BatmanTransformers, and Superman. You can check out the rest of the rings after the break.

TDKR Flash Drive Makes Accessing Your Data Painful for Batman

Dark Knight Rises USB

Batman’s got the brains, the brawn, and the money, so it’s no wonder that he rose to the top of the superhero food chain without actually having any superpowers. Regardless of how you feel for Bruce Wayne and his ethics, you can’t really deny that this Dark Knight Rises Batman flash drive is off the wall and pretty awesome, in more ways than one.

First of all, it doesn’t really look like a flash drive. It looks like a miniature bust of Batman in all his splendor–but take off his head (yes, you have to decapitate Batman every time you access your data) and you’ve got your flash drive right there. Plug the dock into your computer and the bat logo on Batman’s chest lights up. Plug his head in and Batman’s eyes will glow a cool blue. Sounds pretty creepy, but it look’s extremely cool.

The Batarang Twin-Blade Folding Knife Probably Won’t Get Bruce Wayne’s Seal of Approval

Batarang

Everybody loves Batman. I mean, who doesn’t? Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy may have wrapped up last month, but people are still talking about how the movie ended and the future of the franchise, even until now.

Given its huge success, you can expect Batman-inspired stuff to crop up from now until they decide to reboot the entire thing. Stuff like the Batarang. It’s a twin-blade folding knife that features a bat handle. Unfold the blades and you’ve got a knife that will probably cut your hand while you try to use it for something else. In essence, the design looks awesome. When outstretched, the blades look like the bat’s wings, which was probably what they intended to do. However, it makes using the knife a wee bit more complicated.

Of course, you can just use unfold one blade at a time and use it like you would a normal knife. But still. The Batarang looks dangerously silly and will probably cut the palms of those who don’t really know how to use it.

This Batcave Home Theater is Perfect for the Ultimate Dark Knight Fan

Batcave Home Theater

A Batman fan who probably has a wealth that’s comparable to that of Bruce Wayne’s is splurging on a new home theater system–and it’s pretty bat-terrific.

A swanky home in California contracted Elite Home Theater Seating to design a home theater that’s fit for the likes of Bruce Wayne, and they managed to do exactly just that with what they finally came up with.Continue Reading

Review – Batman Arkham Asylum

Batman_AA_1200

This post is syndicated with permission from GamerFront.net

Batman. One would think that the rich history and “one man against all villainy” plot of this comic would have lent itself to a gaming classic by now. For one reason or another it just hasn’t happened with most games in the Dark Knight’s vault being shoddy movie adaptations. I’d long since given up hope of a decent Batman game and that’s why I was taken by surprise earlier this year at E3 when I got my hands on a playable demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum. This was the Batman game I’d waited for my whole life.

Immediately when starting the campaign you’re drawn into an engaging story, picking up with Batman just having apprehended the Joker and delivering him back to Arkham Asylum. During the intake procedure the Joker manages an escape and reveal his plot to take over the facility. Inmates are turned loose and the first introduction to combat begins.

Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit Will Protect Your Hide, Won’t Turn You Into Batman

batman-suit

By Chris Scott Barr

There’s nothing wrong with a little cosplaying at a big show like Comic Con, or any number of other cons. But what if you want something that you can wear a little more often? Sure, you could go with a cool Star Wars hoodie. But if you really want to turn some heads, you might just check out this Dark Knight Leather Motorcycle Suit.

This is an officially licensed design that will actually be on the market sometime in the near future. It is made from molded leather and Kevlar armor sections with a Cordura mesh base and heavy-duty 4 way stretch spandex inserts. This thing should be enough to protect you in a small crash (with a good helmet) or when you’re out prowling the streets taking out bad guys. Given the quality and materials of this thing, expect to pay a small fortune for it when it finally does hit stores.
