Windcatcher Air Pakk: Carry Stuff and Sleep On It

Windcatcher Air Pakk

So you’re tired and feel like taking a nap in the middle of nowhere. You’ll have no problem getting comfortable with the Windcatcher Air Pakk, as it’s a backpack that doubles as a pillow when you need one the most. It also transforms into a seat pad so you can sit in comfort, even when you’re seated on the floor or on rough surfaces that might not be very tush-friendly.

As if that’s not enough, the Air Pakk also turns into a sleeping pad when you really need to catch some Zzz’s and there’s no bed in sight. The coolest part is that the bag self-inflates, so you don’t have to lug around a pump, or worse, have to inflate it manually.

Hammock Backpack: So You Can Nap On the Go

HackedPack

Nothing beats lying back on a hammock with little to no cares in the world, as a gentle breeze blows to keep you cool and comfortable. Unfortunately, thoughts of lying on a hammock remain just that–thoughts–unless you’re the type who takes one with you wherever and whenever.

That’s not always a very practical thing to do, what with the added bulk and weight, unless you’ve got one of these HackedPacks. As the name implies, these backpacks have been hacked. Aside from having enough space to carry all of your gear, it also has a built-in hammock crammed into it.

Charge Phones and Laptops on the Go With the GoPlug Charging Bag

GoPlug Bag

In this day and age, most people can’t bear to be without their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other mobile devices. However, this is inevitable as all these gadgets run on batteries and they’ll eventually run out. I mean, you can’t exactly charge ‘em up any time you want to if you’re away from home or traveling and currently don’t have access to an outlet. Sure, unless you’ve got your power bank, but even those need to be charged eventually, too.

Cue the GoPlug charging bags which are currently up for funding on Kickstarter! Aside from being a spacious and sturdy bag that can be used to carry your travel essentials and gadgets, it also comes with a battery pack that has enough capacity to charge your phone up to six times! Its makers add that it can be used to charge tablets twice over, and double the battery life of your laptop when it’s plugged in.

Not a Good Idea If You’re On a Diet: Burrito Yoga Bag

Burrito Yoga Baga

Everyone’s into yoga these days and for good reason, too. Whether you want to stay fit or be more flexible, yoga is the way to go. With so many people into yoga these days, the bevy of related merch and gear like this Burrito Yoga Bag isn’t surprising. However, if you’re attending classes for the primary reason of getting fit, then you might want to get another bag for obvious reasons.

The bag is just the right size and shape for most yoga mats and basically looks like a giant burrito wrapped in foil on the outside. The Burrito Yoga Bag is priced at $40, which costs more than the average yoga bag and way more than a burrito, but the awesomeness is worth it.

Lay-N-Go Traveler Makes Packing and Unpacking Easier

Lay N Go

Whether it’s a day trip, a weekender, or a week-long trip, the Lay-N-Go Traveler will be able to make packing and unpacking a whole lot easier for you. It’s a bag can be unfolded and transformed into a mat, effectively laying all your stuff in front of you. That way, you won’t have to rummage through your bag (and mess everything up in the process) in search for a single object.

The Lay-N-Go Traveler isn’t meant to hold your clothes or extra shoes, given the size, but it’s perfect for personal effects and smaller essentials, like your toothpaste, glasses, razor, deodorant, and phone charger and cables, among other things. It’s also available in another size, the Lay-N-Go Lifestyle, which is a larger version that you can use to carry more stuff like food for a picnic or toys for kids to play with at the beach.

The Lay-N-Go Traveler is priced at $29.95, while the Lifestyle costs $49.95.

SEIL Bag is a Wearable Signal Light for Cyclists

Seil Bag1

A lot of accidents involving cyclists can be avoided if there was a way for them to signal where they were headed or when they’re about to make a turn to other drivers and cyclists on the road. Add-on signal lights are available for bikes, but most are compact–maybe too compact–in nature, and might not be visible in certain conditions.

Working with that in mind is Lee Myung Su, the designer behind the SEIL Bag. The concept won a Red Dot Design Award back in 2010, and now Lee is back with plans for turning it into a reality with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for the bag.

If You Want To Take Your Slow-Cooking Off The Grid, You’re Going To Need This Insulating Bag

wonderbag-1

Throwing stuff into a slow-cooker is both a lazy and a delicious way to cook. Done right, you get some tender meats and pretty powerful flavours, but lets face it: everything is soupy and to this editor, unexciting. That’s ok, that’s how some people roll. But if you want to take your slow-cooking skills to, say, a pot-luck dinner 6 hours away, it’s not normally going to work. Unless you get the Wonderbag. It’s a highly insulated bag in which you insert a pot with all your ingredients and boiling water. Seal it in, and the heat that you already put in stays in, cooking the food, albeit even more slowly than a regular crock pot. Granted it’s probably not super safe to be moving a gallon of boiling water anywhere, in a bag or not, but the idea here isn’t so much the portability of the procedure as much as the fact that it allows you to slow cook while using a lot less electricity. And for some, that’s important. Also, you can take a trip to the pub and not worry about leaving a hot appliance on in the house.

It’s $122.

Star Wars R2D2 Lunch Bag is the Coolest Way to Carry Your Grub

R2D2 Lunch Bag

School can sometimes be a drag. I think that’s something we all know based on experience. One thing I remember to get rid of the school-day blues back when I was still a student though, was bring something that made me happy every day to school. Sometimes it was a bottle of my favorite perfume, sometimes it was my favorite pin. It might sound silly, but it actually worked.

So maybe you could do what I did for your kids who are currently still in school, but in a more consistent and geeky manner. How? By letting them bring their lunch in this uber-cool Star Wars R2D2 Lunch Bag!

It looks awesome, it lights up, and it even makes fun beeping sounds once you push the button. It’s made from 100% PVC and is BPA free, so you don’t have to worry about food safety. It’s also padded with superior quality polyethylene foam insulation so your grub stays fresh.

The Star Wars R2D2 Lunch Bag is available for $19.99.
