The HyperDrive Is The One Dongle To Rule Them All

We’re not going to make any commentary about how Steve Jobs is probably rolling in his grave. We’re not going to whine about Apple’s increasingly boneheaded design decisions. Instead, we’re just going to leave this right here. It’s the HyperDrive, and it gives you back all the freaking ports Apple took away on the new MacBook Pro. Oh, you don’t think you can work with only 3 Thunderbolt ports and 2 USB-C ports? That’s fine, here’s a sleek, nicely designed adapter that features USB-A ports, a SD Card or microSD slot, HDMI port, Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB-C port and USB 3.1 USB-C port. It’s able to handle data throughput speeds of up to 50GB/s, and full power charging since it handles up to 100W. It’s small enough to carry in a pocket and people are so excited about it, the Kickstarter is now funded almost 5 times over. It’s a $69 pledge, with deliver in March 2017. But hurry up, quantities are limited.

Check Out Dart, The World’s Smallest Laptop Adapter

Dart Laptop Charger

If you work out of the office a lot, then chances are you’ve had to deal with lugging a bulging laptop bag around because of the bulky adapter that it came with. Leaving it really isn’t an option, considering there’s only so much–or rather, so little–that you can do on limited power. It’s a problem people face, day in and day out, and it’s one that the folks behind Dart pretty much solved with its release.

Dart is dubbed as the “world’s smallest laptop adapter” and that might very well be true if you look at the images of it. It’s roughly four times smaller than the average 65W charger, with a volume of only 2.5 cubic inches. It comes with a six foot cable and comes with an integrated USB port, allowing you to charge your laptop and another device, like you tablet, at the same time.

90 Degree Adapter

One of the most common reasons why headphones stop working is a busted plug. Most people don’t get those wire clips or organizers, so they end up winding the headphone wire around the music player before tucking it into their purse, bag, or jeans jacket. With enough winding and usage, the plug eventually wears out and breaks, causing a disconnect.

Tackling this head-on is Mohammad Reza Navaei with his design that’s aptly called the 90 Degree Adaptor.
