Traditional resumes just don’t cut it anymore. Oftentimes, those who get the job are the ones with credentials that stand out from the rest. However, aside from qualifications, here’s one other thing that you could do to up your chances of getting hired: come up with an unusual or creative resume that’ll get people talking. You know, like interactive resumes that play out like a game or LEGO resumes that you can build, brick by brick.
And then there’s Brennan Gleason’s Resum-ale. It’s a resume that comes in the form of a four-pack of the graphic designer’s special homebrew, something that prospective bosses will love for sure. Brennan explains: “I’ve seen beef jerky business cards and really weird stuff like that. So, I really wanted to do something along those lines.”
Weird? Yes. Cool? Definitely. So weird and cool it was that Brennan landed a job as a result with a Vancouver-based digital marketing agency. Sounds like a good fit, doesn’t it?
