Because You’re Super: Personalized Superhero Action Figures

Personalised Superhero Action Figures

If you could be any superhero, who would you choose to be? The choices are limited when it comes to Firebox’s personalized superhero action figures, but they’re still awesome all the same. Guys can decide to be Captain America, Iron Man, or Thor, while the ladies can pick between being Catwoman or Wonder Woman.

The DIY kit contains a superhero action figure with its original head attached, epoxy putty, and a white tack. To truly make it your own, Firebox will print a model of your head in 3D and include it in the kit. All you have to do is take two pictures of your head (one front view and one side shot) and they’ll take care of the rest.

No Thanks: Giant Isopod iPhone Case

arthropod-iphone-case-1

Is it an isopod? An arthropod? We’re no taxonomists and we really have no idea at the kind of life form we’re looking at. But we do know that it’s one of the strangest iPhone cases we’ve come across, and it’s definitely one you should be getting if you’re into being stared at in public transport. You’ll have to pay $80 for the silver version, and $120 for the gold one. They’re only making 500 of these, so any buyer can feel that they have something really special. As if sticking a giant… animal of some kind wasn’t special enough.

It seems to be Japan only at the moment.

Give Your Ninja 250 A Sick New Look With Brasse’s 31BLK Modification Package

brasse-ninja-mod-kit

The Kawasaki Ninja 250 is a fine bike, if a little middling. But with Brasse’s modification kit, you can transform it into something considerably more unique.

It comes complete with two gullwing headlamps, a drag speedometer, a new rear fender assembly, right & left component/cover panels, plus options like a quick-release passenger seat, replacement right and left lower fairings, and a side-mount license plate bracket.

“When not in use, the passenger seat is stored on the front of the bike – locking in place with a double slam-latch mounting bracket. When it’s time to give someone a lift, simply unlatch, and slide the parallel 13-inch solid steel rods back into the frame and pin-lock in place.” This gives you the ability to go from a streetfighter look to a passenger-carrying one in seconds. It’s $1,695 for the kit, which happens to include all the tools for the transformation, so you can do it yourself.

Take The Elbow Grease Out Of Cleaning Your Glasses, Cliris Does It For You

cliris-automatic-eyewear-cleaner-0

To be perfectly honest, it doesn’t take a whole bunch of work to clean a pair of glasses. But if a device can do it for you, and not just clean but “disinfect, anti-fog treat, dry and (optionally) scent your spectacles in only four minutes”, then we start getting curious. Because what is the point of technology if not to make simple tasks even easier? Cliris uses ultrasonic tech and the company’s biodegradable cleaning solution to achieve these results. The solution comes in replaceable pods that last about 30 cleaning cycles and cost about $25 each. Yeah, that’s almost $1 per cleaning, and $269 for the device itself, which is a whole lot of money for something you can do yourself. But if you’ve got a good chunk of disposable income lying around and really dislike cleaning your glasses, the link to their Kickstarter is at the bottom. The project is quite far from being funded, perhaps because other people agree that it’s too much money for too little benefit. But you never know what good marketing can achieve.
