Below-the-Belt Ads: Turn Your Butt Into a Billboard and Get Free Underwear

Free Underwear

Nothing is free in this world. I mean, you can sign up for free offers or subscriptions, but you’ll end up paying for these sooner or later, one way or the other. For example, there’s this site in Japan that’s called Free Pants, and while they’ll send anyone who wants a pair some free underwear, it’s not as free as they’ll think.

You see, each of the pants they’ll be shipping out will have some ad of some sort on the bottom. The logo of some deodorant or shampoo brand or a cable company will be printed and displayed prominently all over the wearer’s butt for the whole world–or for whoever happens to be with them in the bedroom, anyway–to see.

Interested? Sign up for a pair on Free Pants.

These Wedding Rings Say ‘I Do’ in Wavelengths

I Do Wedding Rings

Of course, both parties in a couple have already said “I do” to each other prior to buying the rings or walking down the aisle. But nothing makes that point across or any clearer than these wedding bands by Japanese artist and designer Sakurako Shimizu.

These custom-made bands are simplistic but contain a very strong message. Whether it’s “I do”, “Forever”, or “I Love You”, couples can say anything they want to and then wear it on their ring fingers afterwards. It sounds confusing, but that’s where the beauty and uniqueness of these rings lie: Shimuzu’s unique design will have the couple say their word or phrase of choice, which is then recorded. The wavelength form of these recordings will then be featured on the rings.

The wavelength bands are available in silver, 18K and 14K white, yellow, and red gold, and platinum.

ThrowBack iOS App Gives You a Photographic Blast from the Past

Throwback App

People don’t really bother with time capsules anymore nowadays. If you like the idea but can’t make yourself go through all the hassles of putting one together, then you might want to opt for the easier alternative: ThrowBack.

It’s an iOS app that’ll let you take a picture and store it for future viewing. You can choose to have the app send the photo to you or to others after a certain period of time, from one month to five years. The image won’t be stored on your phone, but on the app’s servers somewhere on the interwebs, so it’ll arrive as a neat little surprise on the scheduled date that you’ve chosen.

The ThrowBack app can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store for free.

Double Front-Ender Car Lets You Drive It Either Way–Although Not At the Same Time

Double Front Ender Car

I have never seen a car like this double front-ended Ford until today. Have you?

This unique but not-very-practical vehicle was recently put on sale on Craigslist. It’s located near the California-Oregon border, in case you’re interested and want to check it out in person. Dubbed as the ‘clown car’, this custom Ford can be driven either way, although I don’t think you can do so at the same time.

Can’t Stop Eating? Well, At Least These Gluttony Pants Won’t Stop Fitting

Gluttony Pants

You know it’s time to stop asking for second (or third) helpings when your pants are fit to burst. Over the years, people found a way to circumvent this discomfort by wearing their ‘fat pants’ when they know they’re about to eat more than they should, like when they’re attending a party or going to an eat-all-you-can buffet.

You probably have a pair in your closet, whether it’s sweatpants or a pair of jeans that’s two sizes bigger than your usual. Fat pants may be more forgiving on your waist, but not so much on the other parts of your body, making you look frumpy and short and just generally unattractive.

Then along came the Gluttony Pants.

Mystery AT-AT Bunkbed

at-at-bed

The interconnected series of tubes otherwise known as the Internet is a strange place, sometimes. Pictures can pop up that make us drool of envy, even as their origins remains shrouded in mystery. Case in point: the above AT-AT bunk bed. All we have is that picture. A reverse image search reveals an Imgur link with a headline that reads “My uncle built an AT-AT bunk bed for his son. So jealous!” So there you have it. Some uncles are better than others. But knowing the image popped online through an Imgur link doesn’t help. What uncle? Where? How do we contact him so he’ll make us one? Why won’t anyone answer these important questions? That’s what we mean by shrouded in mystery; there’s an uncle somewhere, that somehow built something awesome. We don’t know who or how. But we hate him because he’s not our uncle.

PocketBands – Wristbands With a Hidden Pocket

PocketBands

We’ve all experienced it: You’re working out and that damn key knotted on the drawstrings on your pants keeps getting lost…

Yup, it’s annoying and distracting. Even though pockets are great, they’re not so great when you’re engaging in athletic activities. But now you can eliminate that problem with the new Kickstarter campaign, PocketBands, a wristband with a hidden pocket.

The bands are great for when you’re running, surfing, biking, skating, swimming and other sports or activities you do where you don’t want to hold things in your pockets; simply stash away a key or some cash in the hidden compartment that each band features. But besides being functional, they’re also comfortable and pretty stylish, available in a variety of colors and patterns. They’re made using a stretchy, surgical-grade silicone, which makes them durable, water-proof, and pretty comfy to wear. You can get them in four different sizes (small to extra large) and in a bundle of 3 if you pledge $20 toward the campaign.

Tiny USB Humidifier Uses Whatever Liquid It Floats On

donut-humidifier-2

Sometimes you’re working in an office so dry, you throat feels like parchment. If management refuses to do anything about it, why not take it into your own hands and bring a humidifier to work. Most of these are large-ish devices, but the USB Doughnut Humidifier isn’t. It’s shaped like Homer Simpson’s favorite snack, is much smaller than a standard donut, and is powered through USB. But the real innovation is in that it requires to separate water tank, instead using whatever liquid you decide to place it on. Glass of water on your desk? Check. Bowl of water that you keep for the resident cat? Check.

It comes in three colors, has a timer feature and costs all of $16. Hit the jump for a few more pictures of the device, plus links.
