Alright. Plasma TVs. By today’s standards, they’re big and they consume a lot of power. Ok. But they’re also comparatively inexpensive, and the contrast ratios as well as refresh rates are still pretty off the hook. Today’s model is a Panasonic Viera, clocking in at 50 inches. That’s with a 600Hz refresh rate, and of course Full HD, 3 HDMI inputs, HD Tuner, and more. But get this, for a 50 inch TV, after this $350 rebate, you just have to pay $649. I’m old enough to remember the time a 20 inch CRT TV would cost that much.
