Going away from Dell laptops for a bit, we now look at the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580. It’s billed as a gaming laptop and it does pack some decent firepower to kind of earn the badge. This model comes with the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 2GB graphics, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 720p HD webcam, as well as a Core i7 quad Ivy Bridge CPU, 8GB RAM, and a 1TB 5400rpm HDD. No you’re not looking as a sleek Ultrabook, this is a 15.6 inch machine, but you have to make room for the faster internals, so there you have it. It’s usually $1,579 but after today’s $680 rebate, you’re looking at a reasonable $899.
