Hard drives are essential components of computing machines, but they certainly aren’t anything to get excited over. Especially when it’s not super blazing fast SSDs we’re talking about. Still, if you’re in the process of building a rig and someone hands you a $20 coupon on a drive, you take a look. That’s the case for the Intel 520 Series 2.5-inch 120GB SATA III MLC SSD. See, it IS an SSD, though it makes no claim to be the fastest kid in the block. Doesn’t matter though because it’ll still likely be faster than a regular spinning-disk drive and at $163, won’t break the bank.
