This unique set of sheets and bedding, designed by Amsterdam’s SNURK Bedding, is made to look like you’re sleeping on the sidewalk under a cardboard box. But before you get all outraged and indignant about them making light of a serious situation like homelessness, you should be aware that they were specifically designed to promote awareness of the problem, and a large portion of their proceeds are donated to various charities around Europe (depending on where they’re sold) that help homeless youngsters. The cardboard looking sheets and pillow case known as ‘Le Clochard’ or ‘The Tramp’ are ~$68 (€49.95) while the cobble stone-looking fitted sheet known as ‘Le Trottoir’ or ‘The Sidewalk’ is ~$52 (€37.95).

There’s not a whole heck of a lot to get super excited over with these new ActionFit Bluetooth headphones from Philips, unless you intend to use them while building up a sweat. Tech-wise they’re A2DP, AVRCP and Handsfree Headset compatible so you can use them as headphones or for answering/making calls. And a set of mics allows for noise cancelling technologies to do their thing so you can be heard no matter the conditions.
Its built-in lithium-polymer rechargeable battery is good for about 4 1/2 hours of music playback or talk time, with 200 hours of standby time. But the real reason most people will opt for this particular set of Bluetooth headphones is the fact that they’re waterproof and can be rinsed under the tap if you happened to work up a real sweat while wearing them. Headphones, particularly the in-ear variety, can get kind of gross at times, so being able to just dunk the whole kit and caboodle instead of having to carefully remove and clean the silicon caps separately is a real convenience. $129.95, available from Apple or your favorite headphone retailer.

Hallowe’en might be long gone, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still scary things out there to haunt your dreams. Like, say, a pinup version of Admiral Ackbar, which I’m pretty sure is now permanently burned into my retinas. Most of your favorite/forgettable Star Wars characters are represented as ‘sexy’ pinup versions in artist ‘YayzusGraphics’ collection, and while this Society6 site seems to be like another CafePress allowing you to order the artist’s work on various mediums, we of course recommend the $35 iPhone cases which are available for the iPhone 4 and 3G/3GS.

I respect the strategy that goes into a good game of Chess, but I can’t say I find it that exciting. Occasionally taking out an opponent’s valuable piece and seeing their frustrated reaction is just about the only joy I find in the game, which is why I’m not sure why anyone would want to play Chess by themselves.
But technically while this Solitaire version of Chess still requires you to follow the rules of engagement for the various pieces, you actually play to solve one of 60 included puzzles where the goal is to eliminate all 10 included pieces from the board except one. Mind-blowingly fun, and just $19.95 from Brookstone.

Gaming mice. For years companies have branded specific mice as intended for “gaming.” I’ve gotten my hands on a number of them, and rarely am I impressed enough to continue using them for long periods of time. Honestly, I might use one for a couple of months before reverting back to one of my trusty Logitech mice that isn’t geared toward gamers at all. Why? Most of them just aren’t that comfortable for both gaming and everyday use.
I’m someone that uses my computer for more than 12 hours in a day, thus, comfort is key. If a mouse doesn’t fit my hand, then I couldn’t care less about all of the fancy macro buttons or customizable LEDs. So when the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 showed up on my doorstep, I was intrigued.

If you are a fan of ear buds, the Empire Inc. brand Wicked Audio “Little Buds” is something you might want to look into. These little guys pack quite a punch and cancel out a huge amount of outside noise when in use.
What does it come with?
These come with three different size ear bud covers, about four feet of cord, and a ninja-like adjuster which signifies which cord is attached to right and left ear buds hiding over top of a plastic piece a fourth of the way through the cord. The box is just all kinds of fancy, and there could most definitely be a paragraph devoted to it, but this review isn’t about the box now is it? So instead, you will receive a photo of the box and all of its box-glory.

We finish the week by looking at some sweet deals on the IdeaPad, the most interesting of which has you walking away with the Core i5-460M & NVIDIA GeForce 310M IdeaPad Z560 for $674. That’s after a very reasonable $326 rebate (made up of $250 off plus a 10% stackable coupon on a $999 config), making this Z560 with discrete nVidia graphics the cheapest the LogicBuy team has seen.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Z560 is said to be thinner and lighter than the average 15-inch entertainment laptop. It features chiclet keyboard, Dolby Advanced audio, new 2010 Intel Core CPU, optional discrete NVIDIA GeForce graphics and more. Standard is Windows 7, Bluetooth, WiFi and webcam.

AAXA’s micro projectors may not be as small or pocket-friendly as their pico projectors, but they compensate with vastly superior tech specs and capabilities. But don’t get me wrong, they’re still surprisingly compact when compared to the video projector you probably have at your office. The latest addition to their family, the M2, is the first to boast an XGA or 1024×768 resolution with an impressive 110 lumen light source. In comparison, the M2′s predecessor, the M1, could only muster up 800×600 at 75 lumens.
And because it’s designed for travel and as a sort of, all-in-one multimedia device, the M2 also features 1GB of built-in storage with an SD card slot and USB ports for connecting and playing back media directly from an external storage unit. And like your office projector is also sports a VGA input for connecting a laptop, as well as composite AV inputs and HDMI for connecting other multimedia devices. $369 available directly from AAXA.
