LEGO Star Wars Alarm Clocks

During their coverage of the Nuremberg Toy Fair, Hobby Media came across these oversized Star Wars LEGO minifig alarm clocks. So far I haven’t exactly been blown away by LEGO’s entry into the electronics market, but these guys totally make up for that disappointing clock radio we brought you last year. I’ve no idea when the alarm clocks will be available, or if you’ll be able to get versions based on other characters, or why their claw hands seem so much creepier on a larger scale.

    All this Lego branded movie and game gimmicks are cheapening the grandness of potential and ingenuity that I associated with the Lego brand. These type of “gadgets” sink the brand to another level of low. I mean why not release a Lego set with which you actually build the clock.

    That is a very eye opening view. That I can't help but fully agree with. I think I'd buy a kit to build my own. It would offer a sense of pride and love because I built it. Though the Stormtrooper looks pretty cute.
