Toshiba’s Escargot Vacuum Will Make You Ashamed To Have A Dirty Home

I’ve no idea when and where one could get their hands on this thing, but Toshiba’s Escargot vacuum cleaner, which was designed in collaboration with Electrolux, is really one nice piece of eye candy. Everything rolls up or fits into the space between the large brushed aluminum wheels, and the cyclone vacuum means it’s no slouch when it comes to cleaning either. However, if I had this thing rolling around my apartment (it can also be carried with a shoulder strap) I’d be embarrassed to let it find it any dust or dirt on my floors. I just know it would look down on me.

  • Good design but its only 50watts suction power. Most vacuums are now 300-500watts suction power. Best vacuum is still the Karcher vacuums. They suck at 500w-ish and best of all most models are noiseless. They let out this dull hum when they are turned on instead of a ear defeaning shriek. Hot shape but doesn't suck good and it looks like a shrieker when turned on. Ill pass.

It goes in the closet after use, why do I care what it looks like. I'm not carrying it on the street, so who would know. I don't vacuum while guests are over, so again, who will see.

Typically vacuums either look appealing or they work well. I've yet to see a combination of the two.
