This is really cool if you are looking for a digital photo frame and have a lot of smaller pictures laying around.. especially since it is such a hi-res scanner compared to the res of the screen you will have nice clean looking photos.

Unless it's faster than a traditional scanner, I'm okay. Plus I have photos bigger than that size, so I'd never be able to scan them. Which is a shame.

I can see where older generations would like the gift, but I don't like the limitations.

This is a wonderful idea for a specific demographic. As for me, I'd just take my SD card to any photo printing booth and save a bunch of money.
