iNO CP09 Mobile Phone Keeps It Simple

It might be specifically designed for kids and the elderly, but the clean design and oversized keypad of the iNO CP09 mobile phone makes me want one for those times when I need to stay in touch, but don’t want a lot of bells and whistles. In addition to the easy to read buttons, the CP09 features a basic, though detailed, monochrome LCD display with an orange backlight, as well as an FM radio with a standard headphone jack on the bottom of the phone. And in the event of an emergency, there’s a dedicated ‘SOS’ button on the back which sounds an alarm and contacts a pre-programmed phone number when pressed.

i like the buttons. I have sausage like fingers that press all the buttons when i type on my nokia phone.
[ SOS button would be to contact my local take out restaurant:) ]

franco, I am currently getting patent protection on a product that will solve your issue.
  • franco1975
I'll name my first born after you if you would call the patented product ' Anti Sausage Fingers ' :)
Ill name my second born OhGizmo if this site will feature 'anti sausage fingers'.

I'd really like to but I don't think that name is very conducive to sales. I will however send you a prototype for my market survey. I've got you marked down. All's I will need from you is to fill out the card that comes with the product. If you can do that, you're in.

I like the look of it, it's very simple. But I feel I'd always be pressing the SOS button accidentally.

This is pretty cool. I like the dedicated SOS button, but this is very vague on whether it is pre-programmed by manufacturer or if you can change it.

You forgot to mention it also has a built-in flashlight. The large font on the LCD display may make it easier to read, but only being able to see two words of your text message at a time would take some getting used to.

What are the guy and girl faces on the * and # buttons for?
  • chaosoldier
    Dedicated Number buttons for parents??

I want this NOW. This is just what I need when going snowboarding.
My iPhone is of course useless (and too much of a risk), and the old clamshell I use it nearly impossible to use with gloves.

I had a customer at bestbuy ask me where you put your ear when talking on the iPhone...this thing might not be such a bad idea, haha.
  • franco1975
The company isnt replying to phone calls or emails. Brilliant idea but theydropped the ball at the sales end.
  • mcman
This definitely could turn into a fad of sorts.

Too bad I hear these things don't work in the United States and Canada.

This is really perfect for kids. For emergency only type. I'd program their SOS to my phone, so they don't accidentally press it or call for small non-emergency calls.
