Gumball Foosball

I don’t know about you, but anytime I’ve played foosball I’m surprised the plastic balls don’t shatter given how much force they bang around the table with. So using gumballs instead just doesn’t seem like a fantastic idea. But that’s exactly what this Gumball Foosball table does, with a dispenser at each end that come filled with about 1,700 gumballs which are released one at a time and used as the game ball. Obviously the only way to claim your treat is to score on your opponent, or you can just keep one end of the table propped up with a phonebook for when you don’t feel like playing. Get it from Hammacher Schlemmer for a whopping $1,500.

  • I think I actually played one of these at an arcade once...It had Plexiglas on the top to keep grimy hands out.
  • This reminds me of those pinball like machines at small mom and pop shops where a gumball drops from the top and you use the flippers to get it in the right hole, and if you did then you got another gumball. Though that cost only 25 cents compared to $1500...

It seems made for kids, due to the picture and size. So I'm sure junior will be able to get the gumball out without damaging it too much. I think the only issue I would have, is that you get a gumball EVERY time you play? That seems like too much gum just to play foosball.

It seems like it would be fun for children, though I can't help wondering if the gumballs would shatter.

I think children would find this really enjoyable. Though I can't help wondering if the gumball would shatter during play. Or how tempted the children would be to stick there hands in during game play.
  • This is sick!!!!!
  • Seems messy.

This thing looks awesome. If there was one of these around me I would hustle kids all day long. yes i would hustle kids for gumballs.

Great invention. I bet you could make a pretty penny if you put it at the right location. Obviously its aimed towards kids (I havnt bought a gumball from a gumball machine since I was a kid).

Is "hammacher schlemmer" German for "overpriced crap"? As a rich guy, I enjoy playing this gumball foosball machine while wearing my hat with the built-in solar powered fan. Only I fill the gumball part with black truffles, and I make my servants play foosball against eachother to win my favor.
  • Penny for a gumball Beckham!
