Wii Cyberbike, Because The Wii Needs More Exercise Equipment

The Wii has always secretly been a game console that likes for you to get off your lazy ass and exercise. Sure, you can get away with just sitting on your couch wagging the Wiimote, but it takes away half the fun. Well now there’s a new accessory that aims to keep you sitting down and exercising at the same time. Yes, I’m talking about a bike.

The Cyberbike is a full-size stationary bike for your Wii. It comes bundled with some cheesy game that lets you save the world by mopping up pollution with your bike. Apparently it works with Mario Kart Wii though, so that would make it a little more interesting. Though I doubt the pedals come into play much in that game. Look for this to be out in Europe starting January of next year. No word on pricing or a US launch.

I don't know, I kind of like the idea. Anything to make me feel/think I'm actually working out. I do Wii fit often and believe I'm doing something, even though they have all the calorie burning tables stating other wise. I just don't think I have room for that in my apartment. I barely have room for my drums for the Guitar Hero. I just don't think it's possible for me to get this.

haha I've been trying to do this forever with a usb game pad, an exercise bike and a 3D cycling game I created for the purpose. It goes forward and backward just fine, but I can't find a good way to make turning more realistic than a lever for each direction. I had dreams of a hundred bikers in a large room racing each other, paying by the hour, and competing for prizes and cash, or just riding around different maps for fun with cool 3D headgear. And that building would be linked to others around the country for mega bike races!

So, I can't wait to see this on the Wii..and hope it has a network play option to race or just roam with hundreds of other users around the world.

I like the idea of wii. But practically, it is very exhaustive play this kind of game. And gamer gets bored easily on casual game
