From my experience the drawback of ceramic blades in the kitchen has been twofold: First, they're rather expensive, a lot of people would rather have a top-notch steel set for the price of a ceramic cleaver. Second, they tend to be brittle and will break rather than bend. It's fairly disheartening to drop a $500 boning knife and have it shatter.

That said, these products seem to have overcome both problems, the prices seem reasonable, and the breakage problem looks to be avoided by using small blades in creative ways. There doesn't seem to be much chance of bending any of the blades pictured to the point of snapping, which makes breaking them accidentally nearly impossible.

Personally, I don't think my life would improve noticably if I started using these products. Not only do they cost more (granted it's not a lot of money we're talking about here), I have never experienced these seemingly imaginary grievances you talk of (steel-tasting food? What?).

Sure, they're novel, and I could imagine giving one of these away as a gift to someone I didn't want to spend too much money on, but I read this article to find out more about this supposed super material that's better than steel.

Diamonds are durable, to be sure, but they can also be fragile. How do these blade react if you drop them on the floor?

If I had one improvement to make it would be to make the tip and blade of the precision cutter black since white has a better chance to get visually lost on similar contrasting material. Black also wont reflect the color of the material youre cutting under the right light.
