Hi - this is really useful stuff.
Could you also tell me if you can play the footage on a non HD TV? Does it have to be an LCD HD ones?
And also, can you just download the video to any PC and send the file over on an email for someone else to open and view? Do they have to have any special software at there end?
One more question - does it come with a tripod or is that that an extra?
Thanks very much
Fiona

>>- Compact video devices can lead to shaky footage.

Hi, I just got my Ultra HD delivered like five minutes ago and I instantly noticed a few things:

a). the video quality seems fine
b). when I make even gentle moves, the video freezes up for a second, and almost skips to the next frame. I noticed this even in your airshow video.
c). the video looks like it is a series of patched-together frames. If I shoot something and move my camera, it almost look like the first frame disappearing and making way for the second frame.
d). also, I noticed that the video quality appears marginally better on Youtube. So does this also have something to do with Quick-Time and other conventional players?

My question is if this is due to poor lighting

If you're interested in another cheap digital camcorder have a look at
http://www.aiptek.eu/index.php?option=com_produ...

I picked up one of these for $95 NZD ($60 USD) and it doesn't have any built in storage but supports SDHC up to 32Gb. It allows you to change the recording resolution down from 720P to DVD quality or Web cam quality and does 2hrs of HD recording per 4Gb of storage.
