The closest Mac with the same specs was over $2k. I agree i had to update drivers and uninstall crapware which took me a few hours, but it's well worth saving over a grand. Its the equivalent of Mac selling wheelchairs to able bodied people not because its easier than walking but because they think people are too stupid to walk on their own.
