Looks like a good Laptop for a Graphic Designer. He can use the smaller screen for puting his paint pallets, and brushes if he is using Gimp.

Just a note.
This is Lenovo's beast, not IBM's. IBM sold the ThinkPad line to Lenovo a few years back.
