Wow, that makes a lot of sense. I'm surprised though that there is not something that you can use to kill the fungus. Guess you wouldn't want to spend a lot on a case.

Can't replace the battery so this is very expensive – the battery only lasts a few months! Also my doctor told me to replace my contact lens case monthly because it grows all sorts of nasty fungus once you fill it with solution. There is no way to stop the growth even if you clean it. He says the best thing I can do for my eyes is to replace my contact lens case monthly.
