I actually work for a drinkware design and manufacturing firm (Aladdin), and I believe that people are not as aware of all the different alternatives out there. Some more economical and safe drinkware options include the Aladdin Sustain line which features waterbottles and tumblers that are BPA free and made from recycled material. They pose a real health risk for kids who use them at school... Try putting a finger in your water bottle and feel the slimy mold on the insides! And when you think about all the work you have to do to keep your re-useable bottle clean, you might wanna just use an old soda bottle that you can throw out every couple of weeks...
