		<description>The drive seems to be more of  a gimmick (bamboo?) than anything really helpful.  A smaller physical drive would be much more energy efficient, using less power. This big drive still apparently requires a seperate power supply, since it would draw too much from a standard USB port.  Almost shameful to call it green.</description>

		<description>In my case, the &quot;world&#039;s most eco-friendly external drive&quot; is my desktop&#039;s old hard drive, slapped in a $20 no-name external case. Every time I upgrade my main machine, the drive gets replaced. 

There is nothing environmentally friendly about the hard drive mechanism inside this box - it&#039;s the same old toxic device that everyone else is lugging around.</description>
