If my old Super Nintendo wasn’t still in great condition (seen here in a past review) I would totally grab one of these Retro Duo clone consoles. While it looks like it’s maybe just a bit smaller than the North American Super Nintendo, this version will actually accept and play both NES and SNES games. For the Genesis fans there’s also the Gen X console which is compatible with both Sega Master System and Genesis/Mega Drive carts.

The systems are available from an online importer called Innex who I believe was showing them off at the show this year. Like with most clones, you might worry that these systems are kind of ignoring the various laws that have been setup to protect intellectual properties. But Innex claims these particular systems are based on patents that have since lapsed, and I’m more than happy to believe them.

As for pricing, you’re looking at about $40-50 depending on where you buy them. And if you’ve got a box full of old cartridges kicking around, this could be a cheap way to enjoy them once again.

That looks pretty cool. My old NES still works, believe it or not. Dr. Mario is usually the game of the day.

Your old SNES looks weird?! I guess I’ve never seen the US SNES before…
