I just wanted to reply to BTK's & Bruce's comments regarding the fill rate of the pitcher. I have one, my mother has one and all my friends and relatives want one. This pitcher is amazing it does fill within 40 -50 secs using the water pressure of your kitchen faucet. We have one in our office sink now and it does not impede others from using the sink since the hose is only attached when filling the pitcher. (The hose is attched to the pitcher) Amazingly clean drinking water and also decreases the amount of bottled water we use at home and the office.

This won't help me much as I use my Brita pitcher at work.. I don't think my co-workers would appreciate me hooking a hose up to the community sink just to fill my water pitcher. Waiting the minute or two for my pitcher to filter a carafe of water just doesn't seem all that long to wait. If I'm really thirsty I can always get a cup from the tap while I wait for the good stuff.

I really doubt that it will fill as fast as a regular pitcher, if you know anything about filters, pushing water through a solid carbon filter is like taking a piss with a prostate the size of a watermelon, you dont get much done fast, chances are, it will flow faster than a gravity system, but still leave you waiting...
