Nintendo Announces Wii Music

Music games such as Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution and SingStar have a new competitor to watch out for. No, I’m not talking Harmonix with Rock Band. Nintendo is actually throwing their hat into the ring with Wii Music.
Your character will be able to choose from a selection of 40 different instruments (take that Rock Band!) and play with up to 3 friends. Don’t expect to see Nintendo release a plastic xylophone anytime soon though. You’ll be using your Wiimote and Nunchucks to control everything. I’m really not sure if Nintendo is going to be able to compete in this overcrowded genre, however, no one really thought the Wii would be able to compete against the likes of the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. No word yet on pricing or availability.
